❗| Hansi Flick spoke to journalists ahead of today’s training session — the first one open to the media this season. Although he requested that all cameras be turned off, here’s what was gathered from those present:

• He expressed his satisfaction with Joan Garcia and said that there was a general agreement within the club to sign him.

• He confirmed that only 26 of the 35 players currently training will be selected for the Asia Tour.

• He reiterated his full confidence in Deco and the club's direction.

• He praised the performance of La Masia talents but noted that since the midfield is already overcrowded, any promotions from the academy will likely be in other positions.

Terrorist, Pena, Victor, Juan Hernández, Pedro Fernández, Dani Rodríguez, Toni ?
And then the other two I am less sure of.

Guys like Juan, DRO, Diarra, Guille are unlikely but could potentially play wide. I'd put one of Juan or Diarra as a dark horse.

Dani Rodriguez is a wideman but better on the right and we just signed Roony. I guess it will be one of them.

Then we have Landry as a floater. Can play anywhere across the backline, but none of them particularly well (sorry @jamrock ). Depends if Flick sees it with him.

Haven't done the numbers. Clubs usually have 3 keepers these days too. So I expect Pena goes seeing as Kochen isn't there as the token B lad.

Leaves room for four players. Maybe only three if they take a 4th GK with them.

You need at least three GKs, but depending on what happens with ter Stegen maybe he is replaced with Kochen.

If balde goes down again, it won't end well.

Balde always goes down. It's like hoping Olmo doesnt have an injury or Vermaelen.

That's why backup is a must. It's not IF.

Isn't Martin injured? For how long? Hope Jofre gets his minutes in preseason and shines, that's our only hope.

There is probably some truth to this.
Wont say its 100% on Flick, more blame lies on the club to identify this, and get a better player.
Martin was "best" of the bunch, I disagree with Flick regarding Valle. I think he would have been much better than Martin.
And if the club says, it doesnt have cash to buy a LB or we need to sell Martin 1st, I can see how Flick might be OK with keeping Martin.

Flick should have insisted, like he did for a LW.
But I suppose he values a LW backup higher than having Martin in the team.

MD suggest that Inaki Pena is joining the Asian Tour just incase Woj and Joan Garcia can not be registered for the start of LaLiga

Thinking that we are not getting a LB because Flick loves Martin is ignoring the obvious problem. Without transfer fee exits and without a Camp Nou, our FFP is again, precarious.

Who wouldn't love to have Grimaldo over Martin ffs.

I don't know why some guys are talking about additional signings too. We can be happy if we register Garcia and Rashford, even that will be difficult without the return to CN. I don't think there is any chance that we get another player.

If Jofre proves himself at least as an ok sub we're good to go. We need more players but I kinda like our squad, we have nice chances if there won't be many serious injuries to fullbacks and in attack.
