It's possible. We said Xavi football of 22/23 wasn't sunstainable and we saw what happened in 23/24.

Flick is the same, but in regards to the opposite side of the pitch.

We are basically reliant on three factors.

1) Cuba Gooding Jr having a linear progression and coming back from Summer even better.
2) Inigo maintaining his level and intensity.
3) Araujo with a full pre-season somehow turning into Van Dijk since we are not investing in one world class centre.
Then again, Flick is not Xavi. Flick's 2nd season in Bayern was way better than how you guys remember it. They were 1 goal away from the UCL semi finals without Prime Lewandowski due to injury. Flick has experience and he definitely will rectify his mistakes coming into 2025-26.

Flick left Bayern on his own terms due few factors like the desire to lead Germany NT and clashes with SD of the club, Hasan Salihamidzic, on players. Results had no part in his departure.

This is true.

He wanted multiple players, but was vetoed and Bayern ended up only signing Chupo-Moting and Sane or something which led to them suffering in his second season with the lack of depth with their injuries.

Which is why I believe that if he tells Laporta and Deco he want 2, 3 or 4 players they will do whatever it takes to make those signings.

Just don't let Hansi handpick the players himself

We already missed free transfer for Tah from Bayer Leverkusen and Diaz from Liverpool is not for sale per Slot.
Personally I do not like Rashford. Hopefully he will choose to continue at Aston Villa.

Tah technically wasn't free. He was looking for 15m signing bonus.
Personally I am happy because of that. If he was truly free, I would have been gutten to not get him, after almost a year of being linked to it.

Good God. What is football coming to?
Do you remember those people who wanted Amorim as coach? I wonder where they are now?

Why did he pick Bayern over Barca? What did it come down to?

Did any reliable journalists confirm the reasons?

Barca have a way better project right now.

Did Barca pull out? 🤔

When player's agents talk with a club about a transfer, the club tells the agent the overall cost they're willing to pay for the player. Then the club removes the fee of the player from that sum and what's left is his salary over the contract's length. If there is no fee, either the entire sum goes into the salary, or they accept a sign bonus.
It's normal procedure.

On a free transfer, this was a golden opportunity for Barca.

In today's crazy market, you won't get such a defender for this price.

15 mil is dirt cheap for a defender of this quality.

Opportunity missed.

Can't say that yet, need to see how the team will look like at the end of the transfer window. Tah would have been a risk as well, as he never played a high-line we play under Flick. He can also have the same brainfarts like Araujo for all we know. I'm pretty sure Araujo would look like a top3 defender in the world playing in a low-block. Look at his performance under Xavi. It always depends on the system.

Nothing is free in this life, hermano.

Not even the most basic of human desires, love.

Infact, maintaining a happy wife and marriage is the second most expensive thing in this life.

And the most expensive thing in life ?

A divorce. :pep:
