It's already too late. We dropped too many points and we will surely drop more points. I don't see RM dropping many points except against us and maybe ATM.

Questions remain if he is suited as a manager for this squad long term. That is the advantage you have with coaches like Xavi and, heck, even EV. They understand La Liga/what's needed to win the league from this mostly Latin/Spanish squad.

What do you mean understand what's needed to win the league? The same as in any other league, to win as many points and fuck up as rarely as possible. The issue of Flick is that he doesn't know how to pick up points when the team is not playing well.

He blames the team for lack of intensity. But that is something you prepare for during 38 games season, not something to be surprised about. It's something you assume will happen for sure (especially with a thin squad), and plan for concrete measures to mitigate its impact.

Madrid were not very good vs Sociedad, not very good vs Celta. Heck, not very good even vs Alaves or Espanyol at home. But won 12/12 in those games.

La Liga is very different than Bundesliga. Have you seen Bayern matches outside of Bayern vs Dortmund or Bayern vs Leverkusen (recently)? Those teams rarely defend properly. It's comparable to MLS defending.

La Liga teams (yes even Las Palmas) are a lot more tactical and will exploit weaknesses fast. He probably just assumes the team will steamroll through these bottom half teams based on squad talent alone like he would experience in Bundesliga. This has never been the case in La Liga. Even Pep's Barca and MSN Barca struggled heavily with a lot of these teams barely knicking a win.

They’ve already dropped points against Mallorca and Las Palmas too. In fact they got thoroughly outplayed by Las Palmas and were lucky to draw.

Both teams are far from perfect this year. But Barca cannot go on too many 3 game winless runs.

We fecked up more often. They lost the Clasico 4-0 and can still be ahead of us. Which simply means Barcelona fecked up far more often vs rest of the field. Haven't even played Atletico away too.

Also, people are forgetting but we still have Dortmund, Benfica, and Atalanta left in the UCL. Three teams who have all performed well recently.

Lille and Milan beat them too let’s not forget that.

They are not the juggernaut they get made out to be. Barca still has every chance to win the league. 1 point difference in December is nothing.

They only disappointment is that Barca blew a lead but the team can still win La Liga without question.

I am aware they are not a juggernaut, we beat them 4-0 at their home, of course we can win the league. But having runs where you win 1 point out of 9 can ruin those chances.

Mallorca and Betis away will not be easy btw.

It will not be easy you’re right. In general I personally see a 90+ point season for any team.

I however don’t expect Real to enter next season with such a patchy squad, so from being 9 points in front it would be a huge opportunity missed.

He's just not managing the team performances well, this isn't the bayern COVID season where they steam rolled everyone, his time with Germany should have thought him that sometimes you have to slow things down.

Impossible to run and gun for 50 games.

Last 3 games should have been 1 draw or loss and two grind out wins, slow things down and wait for the team to crack.

Let's hope he learns, we still have the head to head vs Madrid.

He better win the league this season because next season Madrid are bound to sort out their mess. It will be harder.

Now it's our chance to exploit their struggles. We can't throw it away vs Celtas and Las Palmas.

We are underdogs so we should be jumping at these games vs smaller teams. Not throw the points away.

We should be looking at Liverpool. Minimum lost points vs smaller sides and this is how you win leagues. Imagine if we beat Madrid twice and still lose the league because we underestimated the mid table clubs. Would be a disaster.

Hopefully in the summer we're able to address some of our weak spots as well.

LW, Striker, GK, RB/LB.

Sure but that's not an issue. Team is more than enough to see off Las Palmas easily. Problems are deeper than replace A with B.

Someone says publicly that Steven is set for another 3 years no signing being made.
Same person probably thinks 37 y.o. can play as if he's in 20s.

It's the attitude that stinks. Atmosphere in stadium is shit. No one cares. Could fix it with 2 Laporta dinners worth.
