We'll see how he'll do but Girona's recruitment has been very good lately so wouldn't surprised me if he'll be another big success and sold for profit in a year or two.

City Group signing for City. I wanted to find out what happened to Luciano Rodriguez the other day.

Turns out they signed him for their Bahia side. So potentially off to Girona down the line.

Saudi side Al Qadsiah triggered the release clause to sign 2004 born Spanish talent Iker Almena from Girona.
Deal worth €5m and agreement already sealed also with the player and his agents.
Almena’s move to Saudi now imminent, as reported.

Already played some minutes in La Liga.

City must have expected more from Vitor Reis. Shows the dangers of signing early from Brazil yet again.

For Echevierri it is a smart move.

Hopefully Girona go down this season. It is a slap in the face of Spanish football to have a feeder team in LaLiga.

This isn't France where there are no tv rights or Portugal which is the land of transfer commissions.

I agree with that.
Echeverri is a good talent, however I feel it is also another too early move for him.
This generation (players born between 2003-2006) of Argentinians has yet to make an impact in their first club in Europe, and it feels that the greed of clubs that rule out smaller clubs in Europe is still hurting them. Echeverri wasted 6 months in City for whatever.

But then again, it looked the same for the generation before, and they managed to produce Mcallister, Alvarez and Enzo

There are talents there but the league is way worse than Brazils nowadays. You only need to see how the Brazilians played in the CWC compared to Boca and River.

Slower, way more space, yet with more reckless challenges.

So it takes a keen eye to sort the top talents from those good technically but performing because of the state of the league.

Someone like Mastantuano if you watch him has a ton of bad and heavy touches for example, but is physically overcoming these because he can a) reach the ball and b) the space he is awarded is absolutely ridiculous.

Echeverri on the other hand is a technical diamond but always looked a bit slight and slow. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't overcome that.

Mastantuano will probably make it, but at the same time wouldn't be surprised if it takes 3 or 4 seasons and it happens when offloaded or loaned to Germany.

Girona only making loan signings so far.

Hugo Rincon (RB from Athletic who played great for Mirandes last season), Lemar from Atleti, now Reis and possibly Echeverri.

They played in CL last season but still can't spend without selling. Sad reality of LoLiga.

Thanks Thebes.
