Gerard Deulofeu

Just saw we’re close to selling him to watford for 10 mil. Another brilliant piece of business when we bought him last year for 12. These fucking muppets have to go. You’d think there would be one person that has some say at our club that is a shrewd business man.

EDIT— They obviously know how to make the club money but their buying/selling, contract giving, anything related to actual football and money is awful.

He did good at Milan so bringing him back for 12M wasn't the worst decision imo. Selling now is difficult, we want to get rid of him and his contract expires next year. Not the best deal ever but it was 2M + half a year salary for trying him one last time, in comparison to what kind of money we usually waste that's not too bad for a gamble.

Yes. Last year Watford or some other club with money could've paid 20 m for him or even more. It was worth a bet. He flopped in the first part of the season and was injured in the second.

It's the same as saying we paid 40 m (is it 40?) for Gomes and now we sell him for 15-20. We buy them in good hope and sell them if they flop. Transfers are all about risk. If they succeeded here, we wouldn't try to sell them.

No team was paying anywhere near 20m for Deulofeu last summer.

He was a failed Everton player who went on loan to Milan and looked decent at first then showed himself to be completely one dimensional as he does wherever he goes.

10 mil. euros for Deulofeu, 15 mil. euros for Santos and hopefully we will reach an agreement with Inter for the full amount of 35 + 3 mil. euros (if Inter can not afford it up front, we can give them the option of 3 installments, otherwise sell to Pr.League; good for us/the board, that they remain firm on they pricing and not sell for a discounted price)

Next order of business should be to close either Lenglet or de Ligt + renewing Busquets. A quality CB is a must at this point.

Inter would have paid in installments. From where did the notion that they would pay this sum straight up even come?

Just move on. They won't ever pay that kind of money for Rafinha. We either sell him to another team(which will pay us in installments just like Inter would do) or he comes back.

No way they will pay 10m. They will expect to get him for free with just 1 year left on his contract. Everyone knows we are bad at selling:lol:

According to Sport, it is to be confirmed this week, but the deal is apparently done. 13 mil euros plus 2 million euros in add-ons is a great transfer by all means; only one year remaining on his contract IIRC and a buy-out clause of 20 mil euros; potentially getting 15 mil euros for Deulofeu is decent.
