Florian Wirtz

Truth
It’s simply a reflection of how many of today’s fans don’t really know how to even assess an individual player without being biased by the team or coach’s tactics/performances

Ilkay is spot on, Wirtz is a fantastic talent but when I watch Liverpool I struggle to see how he was meant to be used

Liverpool’s offseason has been an odd one by football standards and adaptation requires time

One of the best players on the planet. I'm saying it before it becomes a popular opinion.

The talent and ability is so obvious. Anyone can see it. There's a reason every expert who watches the Bundesliga calls him a generational talent. Klopp who has amazing talent ID said he's generational too. @Birdy

His first touch, dribbling ability and vision is absolutely elite. Never scared to look for the tough passes. Gorgeous Footballer.

Not a single midfielder currently that I'd swap him for.

So you are telling me that the player who is flopping in England, had a great game, against... Bundesliga team

Been saying all along he will come good, but this game don't tell me shit I didn't already know.

Bump the pump when he does it against Brentford, Bournemouth or fookin' Plymouth bruv.

Haha they are soooooooo desperate for him to be a thing.

But the truth is he is more likely to be the new Barca Coutinho, than the new Liverpool Coutinho.

It's evident through the ridiculous overrating of his 6 out of 10 performances that Liverpool fans are shitting their pants at the 280m they spent on Wirtz and Isak.

Soon as Isak stops farting in the wrong direction they will label him the new Messiah as well.

Deep down they know they have overpayed by at least 100m for the pair of them, even in the best case scenario

Clearly you have never seen him play at Leverkusen.

Also, I'm not defending players who are performing poorly. Isak doesn't look match fit yet.

I have openly criticised the players that are underperforming. Are you watching our games?

Keep hating on Wirtz though. Time will tell. Don't delete these posts in the near future. I'll leave you with this Klopp quote.

People would be having aneurysms up in here if we spent 150m on this guy. Especially since he is coming in to replace a 70m signing from last season who improved consistently throughout the season. ( Sboz ).

Shades of our Olmo transfer when you have Fermin sitting there.

At best, Wirtz has a slightly better season than Sboz. But he ain't replicating what he did in the Buli, up in the Prem.

At worst, he struggles in making the step up and with the pace of the league.

At 150m, you'd expect a signing to have an instant effect in bridging the gap in the Champions League. But he definitely won't do that. His movements on the ball are too slow. He needs that extra second on the ball. He is too easy to shut down if you give him attention.

All in all, a bit of a bizarre transfer.

Of course I have seen him play at Leverkusen, which made me post the above in June.

In particular, ' His movements on the ball are too slow. He needs that extra second on the ball. He is too easy to shut down if you give him attention. '

I've not seen anything to suggest that he has, or will, overcome this significant hurdle, though he has time as he is still young.

Fact is Sboz has been far better than him and Liverpool would have won far more games this season with Sboz as the 10 rather than Wirtz.

Nobody is hating, as we made the same mistake with buying Olmo, which has held back a better player in Fermin.

I think he will reach much better form in the next few weeks. While I don't necessarily agree with Klopp on Wirtz being "a once in a century talent", he definitely has the skill set and potential to be an integral part of Liverpool's future.

This is the most level headed answer probably.

He is a fantastic player, struggled at the beginning in Pool but pretty sure he will show his wc potential soon, needs some time. He should have already a few assists but team mates at Pool and Germany missed some easy chances
