Some interesting stat
*Barcelona are the most clinical team in front of goal, requiring an average of just over 4 shots to score each goal while La Liga stablemates Osasuna are the most wasteful, needing almost 4 times as many.

The amount of shots you have on target (nevermind off target like those in the chart) is not an accurate way to measure creativity.It gives you a faint idea, like,the teams on the "south east" corner of the map are generally in tandem with what you'd call the creative teams, but that's where it stops. I mean, even bloody Weder Bremen has more shots than Barcelona and thus is "creating more chances" than Barcelona according to that graph.

The thing is, Unlike any other team, Barcelona generally don't shoot unless thy have a clear cut chance. For a lot of the shots Barcelona take, you actually have to make an effort to not score it (Hello Alexis). It's also why Barca have by far the best conversion rate, because as I said, unless you're Alexis, you'll be getting on the end of a lot of 1 on 1's as a Barca forward, so it looks like Barca are "taking the most of their chances" when in fact they're actually still pretty wasteful in front of goal. The quality of their chances is just far better than most teams so it's easier to make goals out of those relatively small number of shots.​

Damn...look at Bayern. Only 7.5 shots faced per game AND opponents opponents have to take 20 shots against them to score.

Also, the chart implies that when Barca do give chances, they are giving up very easy chances to opponents. Although they only face 9 shots per game, opponents require only 8 shots to score - which means more than 1 goal conceded per game. Corresponds well with what we're seeing week in week out. Has to do with our high line and how we pack our defence and pressure on the ball-side leaving the far end open.

It also depends on your opponents.. Juventus creates more chances than any team because they play in Serie A that is the most slow in pace and fast deteriorating of the top leagues.
What is alarming is that Madrid creates more chances than barca..

Ronaldo alone takes more shot than Barca players together, also they shoot from longer distance, have more selfish players who shoot when they can.
We have guys like Alves passing the ball back to Xavi when could basically tap it in just to pass some more.

Yeah our defence might let us down in that regard. Currently we are scoring 3.33 goals a game compared with 3.18 by Madrid last year so 121 goals is within reach but sadly we are leaking over a goal a game.
