Tino Perez officially named as new coach until 2026. He last worked in China but has previously coached Inter Movistar. And he started his coaching career as assistant of Jesus Velasco.

“We know each other from Toledo. We are from the same group of friends and we have been in indoor soccer for hundreds of years.” In fact, Tino Pérez started as the second coach alongside Jesús Velasco at Toledart. His debut as the first coach was at the CLM Talavera. He has also coached at Playas de Castellón, Lugo, Cartagena, and Valencia before coaching abroad with teams in Romania, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Italy. Movistar Inter announced his departure in June 2022 when he still had one year left on his contract by the decision of José María García, and in November, he emigrated to China.

At 54 years old, Tino Pérez is a guarantee of success for Barça. He has one of the most successful honors in world futsal, having been twice elected the best coach of the LNFS. With 4 Champions League titles (1998, 2000, 2001, 2002), 3 Leagues in Spain (1997, 2001, 2020), 1 Spanish Super Cup (1997), 4 Russian Super Leagues, and 1 Scudetto, 2 Cups, and 1 Italian Super Cup. Besides, Jordi Torras knows Tino Pérez perfectly since he was his player at Polaris World Cartagena for three seasons.

Sergio Lozano, club captain and one of the best futsal players in history has announced his retirement but will stay at the club as an assistant coach of the B team. Sadly had a lot of injury problems.

Sergio Lozano ended his unparalleled love affair with FC Barcelona and futsal this Friday. The buffalo, an icon of the Blaugrana club and the sport, announced that he will hang up his boots on June 30th to focus on his new role as assistant coach of the Blaugrana reserve team.

The Barça legend, accompanied by club figures such as Joan Laporta, former teammates, family members, and members of the youth section, called a press conference for this Friday at the Auditori 1899 where he officially announced that he will hang up his boots at the end of the season. After 14 seasons at Barça, 334 goals, and 27 titles, the Madrid native leaves his record at the highest level any Barça player has ever achieved. He leaves with four Champions League titles, six La Liga titles (with an option for a seventh), six Spanish Cups, seven Copas del Rey, four Spanish Super Cups, and seven Copa Catalunya titles, plus the 2012 European Championship with Spain—a dizzying list of achievements for a player who will go down in the history of both Barça and futsal in general.

"I've come to tell you something that has been very difficult for me. My heart and my head were saying something else, but the board had other plans for me. I'm announcing my retirement. I won't be playing in any other shirt than Barça's; the Blaugrana was going to be my last shirt, and I wanted to keep that promise," Sergio began.

"I've been fortunate, I've enjoyed it a lot... but I've also suffered the worst thing an athlete can suffer, which is serious injuries. I've tried to be as positive as possible to put on the Blaugrana shirt again at the Palau. It was, is, and will be an honor to defend the Barça jersey. I hope all the culés are proud of what I've done on the court. I'd like to thank Barça, especially Laporta and Barcelona, because it's felt like my home to me, and you've made this my home," Lozano continued.

"I want to thank the entire club for allowing me to pursue my dream for 14 seasons. Thank you, Culés, for all the support, in good times and bad. Every word of encouragement and inspiration has been essential. Thanks to my teammates, to the Dracs, it's been a true honor. Also to my family, to Dr. Carles Miñarro, who was by my side during the toughest injuries; he's been one of the people who made it possible for me to be here." Finally, he concluded with a few words in Catalan: "Thank you all very much, it's been an honor to be part of this shirt. Long live Barça."

The Barça captain, an honor he has held for six seasons, is hanging up his boots but will not be retiring from futsal or Barça. The Barça club's plans call for the Madrid native to become part of the team's structure, specifically as assistant coach of the reserve team. There will be no more moments for Sergio Lozano in the Barça shirt, although the Buffalo's history with Barça is still far from over...
