From what I understand, though, it will be the last resort to use those exceptions as it can bite you later (didn't get fully why) so they want to try to register them normally.
But the situation makes registeration granted

He could have just said, we relaxed the rules because Madrid intended to spend big this summer.

Everyone would have got it, everyone would have agreed.

The South Koreans would be going on holiday to North Korea. The North Koreans would be going on holiday to South Korea.

And the world would be one step closer to peace

Madrid 300m+ in the red on transfers over the past three seasons. And that's excluding Mbappe's massive wages and sign on fee that I think they have managed to perform some funky accounting with.

So yes, if we go further back there are some big sales but the major point of difference is how they managed to offset the cost of Bernabeu through the Covid period and also somehow manage to not pay deferrals. Or if they did, not have the deferrals impact the FFP.

Logically, the stadium re-build, deferrals + covid would have sent them under. Well, it almost sent us under without a stadium rebuild and we are on a decade long recovery. While they are... spending 400m defecit in 3 years.

Now apply amortization, and tell me what is the actual cost per season and what % of the operating income it represents.

Ammortization is also the so called funky accounting in case of Mbappe, added to his massive wages. What is Madrids wage bill in comparison to revenue?

As for Bernabeu. Outside of that cringe facade, great financing, quality project and development of it, and minimized loss of revenue due to construction.

So logically, why should it send RM under?

Barcelona are set to announce a €44m sponsorship deal with the Democratic Republic of Congo in the coming hours. The agreement will generate Fair Play margin and help in registering new signings. Barça will receive €10–11.5m per year over four years, with the DRC logo to appear on some of the club's sportswear. @ffpolo

The DRC sponsorship will NOT generate any FFP positive margins because of Congo's human rights record. Thebe's has encourage Barca to seek an Israeli sponsorship instead.

Glad the club learned his lesson:

Although there was initial uncertainty, as Barça was expecting to receive half of the funds (around €22M) & as DRC wanted to present the deal publicly before transferring funds. The club has now received the money through fully regulated channels and confirmed payment guarantees for the remaining amount, paving the way for the official announcement.
