OK, le'ts be real.
It will be really hard to get UCL

Last season, despite the great season we had, we didn't eliminate a big team in knock-out tie.
The first so team we faced, Inter, we lost the tie (despite being better).
Especially Pool, Arsenal, PSG, I think we would have been eliminated.
Remember there was a draw for R16, and we could face only PSG or Benfica.
We got lucky there

Going into the next season, I see more or less the same 3 teams (plus possibly Chelsea) as super hard to eliminate.
The best case scenario we reach SFs again w/o facing one of them, and we have to face them for the 1st time in the SFs

I'd really love the club to at least once prioritize CL over LL, CdR and Supercopa.

Sadly, there is very little chance of that happening.

It will be foolish to do that now.
With Fatporta still dragging the club into FFP restrictions, being unable to resolve the issue 4 years now, the team can't reinforce substantially to prioritize CL

Next season priorities should be again domestic treble (LL, CdR, Supercopa) and whatever comes in CL as a bonus.

If in the summer of 2026, with Lewa's stupid fat contract gone, and possibly finally at 1:1, the team is able to recruit properly, then maybe 2027 CL will become a priority

LL will be much harder to win this season since Perez absolutely hates being humiliated by Barca, the refereeing for them will be very hard to beat by Barca just by playing on the pitch alone, they already did that a few times recenlty, it's not such a big deal for Real Madrid.

In CL being heavily involved in LL with that thin squad and likely yet again with injuries, it would be very hard to hope for something.

Imo, if Flick's tenure will end without a CL, there is no other chance for a CL trophy in the near future.

UCL is almost always hard. You usually need to survive a few scares to win it, some luck... seasons like 2014-15 Barca happens once every 15 years.

Take PSG. They were great, still needed pens to beat Pool, got badly dominated by Villa in the decider, not great vs Arsenal either. Apart from those Brest bums, their easiest match was the final. Their keeper was easily among their top 3 performers up to that final.

You can't say there's a big favorite for CL because there is no real standout team at the moment. What happened to PSG vs Chelsea when everyone was saying what big favorites they are proves a big point for me.

As much harder as LL will be, UCL will be WAY MORE harder due to relative strengths of the top teams PLUS the luck always needed in cup formats

Treble. But this this time a real one, not this domestic shit.

If we register the players we have one of the best squads, coach and the best player in the world. We are also combined with Liverpool the only teams that had real rest this summer and we're injury free for now.

We need to have a strong start where our rest and a full preseason should have the most effect, leading La liga and be in top 5 in CL in the first part of the season.
