Europa Conference League

England so superior this is the first time they've beaten a Spanish team in European final since 2001 :mou:
And the team to do it cost like 3 billion vs a team that cost less than 10% of that, and it was a fairly competitive match for 60 minutes.

PL is a better league from top to bottom. Madrid and Barca are bigger than the PL clubs rn.

La Liga is way too top heavy and the PL clubs didn't take the Europa seriously for years.

PL's physical style causes a lot of fatigue and most Prem teams haven't prioritized the Europa over the PL.

The audience doesn't want to watch LL except the Clasicos. The proof is in the pudding. LL gets poor viewership compared to the Prem. Even when you had Prime Messi and Ronaldo, PL got way more eyeballs and revenue as a league.

I guess even Spanish football's mid-bottom teams is better than England's mid-bottom teams judging by this.

We had a lull in Europe during the 90’s and early 00’s but since 2005 until recent years there’s been quite a few appearances in finals. A fair few all English affairs too.

Has any Spanish club outside the big 2 won a CL?

Numerous PL clubs have won the CL.

LL is a top heavy league with 2 giants that overpower everybody in terms of stature, influence, revenue and refereeing decisions.

PL clubs are infamous for not taking the Europa League seriously.

1) Yes and now he's finished

2) Pep is the biggest legacy booster to PL when it comes to quality of football and unsurprisingly he is a Spaniard and a product of Barcelona
What?

PL has always had the best managers itw.

Ferguson, Mourinho, Wenger, Klopp, Guardiola, Conte, Pochettino, Tuchel, Emery, Ancelotti, etc have all managed in the PL.

Thought Betis were alright until the 6 minutes that turned the match.

Clearly a huge gap in quality. And it's not just because Chelsea spend big, but because big Spanish clubs like Betis, Sevilla and moreso Valencia, should be able to compete modestly for signings at transfer fees yearly. Clearly an issue with the Spanish financial football ecosystem more than Chelsea having the spending of a sardine club.

Now let's be honest about something. What's up with the clear handball and no penalty at 3-1?

It's not going to change the result, but we got VAR and then we ignore these kind of actions? Ridiculous.
