Ernesto Valverde

Valverde 's approach is simple in those 3 years.Play the 3 most defensive midfielders to hope for a minimum conceded goals and hope that messi and Luis score à couple of goals. That is his whole approach and ideas and tactics (or lack thereof) reduced to one sentence. It is as clear as daylight by now.

Discount version of Mourinho, Sabella, Simeone etc.

When there are issues he doesn't fix them he instead runs back to using the same tired old vets who aren't good enough in hopes of fixing whatever problems are present.

Piss weak coach. Like a Rich kid who is living off his parents and when he runs out of money, he runs straight back to his parents for money because he isn't smart enough to fix his uncontrollable spending habits and in general manning up.

I watched that 7-th epizode of Matchday and I realized something. Valverde's biggest problem are not tactics but he is completely unable to motivate and raise the team. Just watch that episode and everything will be clear to you. They were completely destroyed at halftime, even at 1-0 they were aware they are going to lose the game. FFS Alba looks like he is crying at halftime! Yo can clearly see a fear in their eyes. They look like they don't even wanna play second half. So what would a proper manager do?! He would yell, break something, he would motivate them or he would try to raise their spirit in any possible way but what Valverde does?! HE FUCKING TRIES TO ANALYZE THINGS AND TALKS ABOUT TACTICS AND HOW DANGEROUS WE ARE WITH THE BALL!!! He does all that with the level of voice more suitable for a concert hall than fucking football stadium! We always talk about his tactics or the lack of game plan but after watching this I am 100% sure his biggest problem is his personality or the lack of it!

So if you came depressed or scared to the locker room at halftime you fucking wanna kill yourself after that analysis from him. The reason why Madrid won 3 CL in a row are not tactics but the way Zidane raised that team every time they were down! Valverde clearly lacks personality and in the club like Barca, with big names we have, personality is sometimes much more important than tactics or fucking game plan. If you are unable to raise players when they are down than no tactics in the world can help you! I encourage all of you to watch that, you'll realize they lost that game even before Lpool scored that second goal.

I completely agree with you, but even if he talks about tactics, it doesn't mean he knows more about it - compared to any mediocre coach out there.
He SHOULD talk about tactics, because that's his job, of course it is a different matter entirely that his personality is absolutely ill-qualified to motivate these players.

Of course tactics are important but I think you got my point there. Even if he was the best tactician in the world (which he clearly isn't) that lack of personality would still cause him to fail. It's not just that he isn't a good fit for Barca, he isn't a good fit for any big club out there. To be able to lead a big names you must have a strong personality above anything else. He is just too soft and too scared. He is even scared of going after third goal at Camp Nou after we are 2 goals up against the likes of Sociedad or Sevilla and that says everything about him. Numerous of times he tried to close the game even after 1-0 in the first half. That's just not the way true champions think or behave. He is probably a kind person but unfortunately that's not something we need, we need a true champion on the bench!

Emery gone. That's now Bayern, Tottenham (who fired their coach even for a lot less) and now Arsenal taking the necessary action as well. Hurts even more, see other clubs acting like this, finally biting the bullet and ensuring a better future for their club. Something we know this Board won't ever do. The only way Valverde leaves under this Board, is if he doesn't extend his contract in the summer. But knowing this Board, they just might give him that last 1-year contract extension as the last meme to screw with us, and as he has no shame, he'll of course accept it. Like I said a year ago, he's their perfect yes man, they are truly a match made in hell. They don't care that 50% of worldwide fans aren't even watching the matches anymore. They still get more that enough dough in from tourists visiting games and buying at the official store. And as long as they're getting that pay check, they're not going anywhere until it's absolutely necessary. Only a new president like Font on elections can save us. And even then, we'll need at least the first 2-3 years under that Board to recover from all the damage it's been done to this club and La Masia ever since 2012.

Unfortunately his "small team" mentality was transferred into the heads of our players during the last 2,5 years. Imagine an army of good soldiers who have a general who is scared for his life every time he goes to battle. That army is condemned to a certain failure. That's how our team looked in Liverpool and Rome, they looked like a broken army. And what did their general do? Well he just stood there in fear, with his hands in pockets, while his soldiers were massacred on the field.

Even in the interviews the players are taking like Valverde now. Pique and Busi are prime examples.

Emery sacked too... You just know this CUNT will never get sacked, and you know 500% we will get fucked without consent in UCL again, and there is nothing you can do about it, can only hope it won't be after a 3 goal lead...

Wow...Kovac, Poch and Emery all sacked and yet a manager (TERRORIST) even worse than all of them (possibly the worst manager in world football) is still living in comfort at at FC Barcelona.

Hard to believe, but that's reality.

Terrorism in football must be stopped.

Firing the coach ensures nothing. We need a fundamentally new vision from the top
