He left a lot of players out that would have made the squad for the upcoming under 21 Euros. Much better for the likes of Wharton and Livramento to potentially win another tournament rather than play in a qualifer against Andorra and then a friendly against Senegal.

When the World Cup squad comes around the likes of Henderson and Walker won't be seen.
That doesn't explain why Walker is ahead of James or White, or why Henderson is ahead of... anybody. Toney back in the team after being relatively poor in Saudia Arabia is mental also.

There are a few odd choices. But Toney has scored 23 goals in 30 games. That's not relatively poor at all.

I always rated Toney - he's a very good striker. Strong, physical, can hold the ball up and run channels, can finish, and pretty decent on the ball outside the box too.

I wish he'd have stayed in the PL.

I do rate Tuchel he's a great manager and even the squad is great but way too overhyped as usual with english stuff. English squad can't compare to what Spain, France, Argentina etc have

I don't see them as the contenders for this WC, even more so after this loss
