Dean Huijsen

There's been Madrid rumours previously so I reckon they go for him.

They wanted Vitor Reis who is also a LCB that City advanced them for in Summer.

That probably answers why Pep didn't go for Huijsen, I dunno who is rated higher to be fair.

One thing I will add is that this XYZ partnership for the next 10-15 years talks rarely ever happens.

In a year or two there will be the next Huijsen who is bigger and better. I think Mokio (16) has already had a start for Ajax.
Last Spanish CB they bought was the mighty Jesus Vallejo. I bet they will just promote Ascensio and go with what they got.

I'd love Barca to get him, there's going to be a bit of competition I'd imagine from PL clubs, maybe Bayern too.

Been really impressive for Bournemouth. Shows how clueless Juve board is though as they are already interested in bringing him back months after selling him.

Juve lost Romero in same way I think.

We are over covered at CB, plus linked with tah and we have a dew prospects coming through.

Oh and the mighty faye will prove himself in time
Faye seems to have fallen off. I read somewhere, it was either his thread or the transfer thread.

I know we have no need for a star signing at CBs. But this is like a set-and-forget-for-a-decade deal honestly.
You just buy cheap backups every two years, or free transfers and we good.
Inigo leaves in a year, Tah maybe the next, same for Araujo. Our core pairing will keep on changing, which is my main issue.

That being said, we have more pressing problems than CB position. We should fix them first.
Hopefully, he doesnt go to Madrid, which is all I care about honestly.

Most likely be Real he ends up at even if Barca were in for him.

From Malaga then fair chance he grew up a fan of them and his local.

If we win something big with Iñigo as starter I think he deserves another season. But only if we have already drawn up a list of targets in 2026, unless Araujo takes that spot, which I don't think.

Best case would be if we can get Huijsen for 50-60m in a year but he's surely leaving in a few months. That said, there will always be new opportunities on the market. Perhaps one of the guys with contracts ending in 2027.

Keep the CBs the same with possibility of Araujo out for Tah etc if he and club want to part ways.

Give it a year and see how likes of Kospo gets on if renews.

Would rather see likes of Kospo/Cuenca thrown into lions den of mens football outside of Barca bubble and off on loan somewhere rather than atletic side.

Sink or swim and prove if worth a shot at that 4th CB spot.

Get them both out to Segunda next season if they renew. If not then sell with buy backs to keep as possible options.

Have a feeling he'll go to Madrid so he and Pau will be a pair in NT while rivals in clubs. Something like Ramos Pique but with more IQ.

Can't see Barca going for him this season and he'll probably leave Bournmouth and then it will be to late.
