Strange if he goes to Chelsea. Unlikely to challenge Man City and Liverpool for the prem. Especially after losing Rudiger. So he'd be going there to simply play in the UCL and that's about it. They aren't winning the prem or UCL. And he'd probably piss off a few united fans which impacts his overall popularity which is important to him.

Bayern makes sense. Another league to score some goals in and win with ease. More likely to win UCL although I don't think they're good enough.

Chelsea have a new president. He will try to make an impact.

Playing ucl could be argument enough to go to chelsea, you know Ronaldo he loves this competition nearly as much as his children. But as a Utd legend he should not go there. Bayern is worse than Chelsea and i don't think he would feel comfortable in cold Germany. You must know Rory the weather is terrible here. All in all he should just stay in Utd and should try to win EL and plan his retirement.

Probably just wants to further his UCL goals record then because there's not many good reasons for leaving other than that. Winning the europa league would be at least something to add to his accomplishments. Sure it's not huge but he could then say he's won 6 major European club trophies. The weather is a non-issue when you have your own private jet and millions to spend on getting around the world.

Bayern is much better than Chelsea. Obviously in terms of history but also their current squad is better than Chelsea's.

Bayern would be a perfect move for him. No way should he stay at United and battle for 5th place with Arsenal, that will damage his legacy.

New manager with an actual plan. Potentially a few good signings incoming and United will be looking far better than battling for 5th. As for his legacy it doesn't damage it at all, it just doesn't add to it.

New manager with a plan to basically bring in all ex-Ajax players with no PL experience. Frenkie, a player who doesn't even want to play there and Eriksen (actually a solid signing). I fail to see how they do better than Tottenham under Conte, Chelsea. and obviously City/Liverpool are in another galaxy.

Ronaldo has what, 2 years left at most? Why waste his time when he could possibly add another CL before retiring? Football has a lot of recency bias, Juve transfer was already a fail and so is this one.

Also pretty hilarious to read redcafe and most of the fans who were convinced he loved them, twerking for him during his time at Madrid, doing a complete U-turn 'we are better without him' despite him being the only player last season worth anything in that team.

He's turned into a gloryhunter with all these moves while RM are doing better without him than he without them.

Worst move of his career when he could have coasted with that great CL machine to another 2 titles.
