Difference is, Messi offers you more than just scoring, Ronaldo does not and has not for a while.

Messi at 36 would be a big liability off the ball and he can't poach like Ronaldo. We'll see what he looks like in 2 years but I doubt Messi will be that much of an asset for top teams unless he is willing to do a super sub type role where he plays much less but with more intensity during that time.

I really enjoyed that. So stiff on the ball hahaha. Three blanks in a row now in the PL, you love to see it. Insane how little he does when he doesnt get his shitty goal

ManU falling off a cliff after he arrives just like Juve fell off a cliff. Perhaps someone who offers nothing in buildup isn't actually so good but ah well he scores an occasional tapin so social media and his pr team can explode again

Juventus didn't fell of a cliff, they were good as long as they had a good coach there, but then they foolishly got rid of Allegri because his style of play was "too boring".

Neither is that great of an option anymore for a well-functioning team. Both bring too much baggage with their goals. There are top players who would make more sense than the oldie version of CR7 or Messi.

Tru. It would be a classic Barca move though to bring grandpa Messi back for a year so the fans can worship him each week while Madrid kick our asses with a functional team spearheaded by Mbappe and possibly Haaland.

So sad to see Vardy outclassed Ronaldo. Imagine watching Messi wear no 7 in Ballon dor ceremony.
