Club World Cup

All the European teams are complaining about the temperatures from what I can see. Even the Spanish and Portuguese teams.

Not a great sign for their competitiveness at the World Cup next year.
Playing games at noon in California doesn't seem smart at all, lol. But FIFA will do that to fit these bloated amount of games in next year, and to maximise the European audience and tv ratings.

It was the same in 1994 anyway.

Copa America was a shitshow last year and this CWC seem to be the same case.
If the World Cup next year turns out to have big issues as well then maybe just never hold events in the USA lol.

USA has 0 football culture... and they give them CWC, Copa America, World Cup. I would never host anything there, and I don't think their people would have a problem either. They don't care about football and most Americans will probably complain about the fans making chaos during world cup.

@KingLeo10 who liked your post is like an honourary European lol. He's American but loves football and talks and acts more like a European person. Even he knows the USA has zero football heritage ha.

The American sports just don't have the connection to global history and culture that football does.

I do like the occasional NBA though, but other than that it's slim pickings. NFL is somewhat tolerable but neither are anywhere near football.

True, football is just inextricably linked to history and culture in a way those sports are not.

Those sports seem kinda 'fake' to me, in the sense that they seem to lack passion and feel a bit plastic. But maybe it's because every time I tried watching them there were too many ads.

I tried to get into American football three years ago. My dentist recommended it. It's actually decent, but I can't imagine following it frequently. Maybe just the Superbowl (which i have never watched).

Ice hockey looks good - kinda like 5 a side football on skates. I liked playing NHL games on the SNES. Very fun smashing shots at the keeper.

I think i said before but I really like swimming, athletics, volleyball and handball (I like tennis too in theory as I know you love, but never really watch it).

Got zero interest in stuff like golf, cricket, darts, rugby, polo, baseball and so on.
