He is a stand out professional and quality CB I quite rate, but he is not cut out to be a mainstay in the starting XI. He can usually do an adequate job when called upon and is steady enough, but this is not a player I want to see become a long term solution for us at the CB position.

Shame about Umtiti's injury woes. Prime Sam is exactly the sort of presence we need at the back right now.
