The way people are talking about Newcastle, you can clearly tell they have never watched their games.

This!
Look at how many have written essays here without having watched a Newcastle game ever.
From someone watching heavily EPL, I can tell you: they are a mismatch for us.

That and the Chelsea away game are going to be a mare for us...
They will have clear and big chances from both fast breaks and HEADERS in our box.
Joan will make some very big saves.

Of course we will score (more than once I would say).
But will that be enough?

Pedri will be bullied hard by their physical midfield, less "pausa" and more direct passing and a watch your back attitude is needed.
When was Pedri ever bullied under Flick? He might lack strength to play at number 10 (although I'm not sure about that anymore) but he is a one-man midfield in the 6/8 area

Frenkie received green light. Team will also play for the first time in the new orange kit.

Very much looking forward to this. Just a shame Lamine isn't there.

Fermin played 90 last game and I think Flick's initial plan was to start Olmo for this, but it's hard to bench someone who scored two goals.

Could be Flick opts for more control in midfield and starts both Fermin and Olmo instead of Rashy. In that case Ferran needs to start to compensate with pace up front.
If Rashford starts I think Lewy is CF.
The CF who comes on usually does well, perhaps it's more of a system thing than the player since both Ferran and Lewy are thriving as subs while being different players.

In the case of this, Flick will probably bench Fermin anyways.

Ironically enough, Fermin also played his best match last season against Valencia, scoring 2 and assisting 2.

He then went to the bench for the Champions League game a few days later against Atalanta and played just 20 minutes.

So yeah, there is a precedent set in Flick's rotations for what is planned in Europe.
