Would be good to start with a win, not like last season. Especially because reaching top 4, or even top 2 is very important this season. Aside from the money, if you reach top 4, you'll have until quarter-finals the second game at home in the playoffs, semis for top 2.

I remember the last time we went there. Asprilla scored a hat tricks and we pulled 2 back. That was a famous victory for them. We started poorly and Newcastle jumped us.
The same could happen this time too. I don't know why but in Europe we always start slow and are always vulnerable to that early goal or two. Hope we are switched on and ready to go.

Top 4 is good enough imo. Look at PSG. We're poor early and stepped on the gas in the ko phase. Peaking in the group phase is a no no for me.

They've already changed that?

Fair-er than the previous for sure.
Still not 100% fair.

Why should any team that eliminates a higher-ranked one 'take over' its home advantage?
Sounds super unfair, and inspired mainly by PSG last season who finished much lower in the league phase than where they should.

It's only fair for the positions of the league phase to determine home adv. until the end without any changes

Newcastle probably aren't fully settled, so we could take advantage.

But the fans will be going crazy I'm sure, great atmosphere and if that Midfield is having a good game, it will give us issues.

But everywhere else on the pitch we are significantly better, GK, defense, attack

I see a draw or win here.

Significanlty better defense? Newcastle is not Valencia to be able to keep a clean sheat with the likes of Garcia and Martin as starters.
