Of course without Barcas injuries I'd say we'd win this quite comfortably but injuries on both sides, it will be close.

Our injures aren't really as impactful, we will be missing balde that's it really.

Rashford as been good all season, so he'll replace raphinha well enough.

Tek showed he's more than good enough last season.

Tek
Kounde, araujo, Cubarsi, Martin
Pedri de jong
Yamal olmo Rashford
Torres/lewa.

That's basically flick's first starting XI, while they are missing their first choice front 3 and captain at the back, but I don't really rate him, so that doesn't count.

Nah Raphinha is a miss and Garcia is a huge miss.

Raphinha is a miss as he is a starter and also because less pace off bench with Rashford later on etc.

Tek barely saved anything in Europe after that Benfica game.

Its not the huge PSG v Barca game/tie could be later anyway.

Would like to see him start Araujo.

Barca need that power and strength in the team and even if risk need to test him v top teams that will try again to expose him.

Its a test for latter stages and v Real etc.

With the way Rashford whips ball in on the GK like the one Kounde scored from Araujo should be a huge asset also.

He doesnt track the ball all that well in box for his size but if going on the money there he doesnt really need to and should in theory be able to dominate those balls in.

Good thing they have Vitinha in the squad. Hope he starts.

I want to see the midfield battle. I am sure we will come on top. But I won't be happy if they aren't playing their best 3 there.

MANITA or BUST.

This was the lineup then: Ter Stegen, Koundé, Araujo, Cubarsí, Cancelo; Pedri. Gundogan. De Jong; Lamimne Yamal, Lewandowski and Raphinha.

Stronger than what we can field now.

We can definitely win this, which is not something I would have said with a full XI vs XI, but their entire front 3 is out, it will have knock out effects throughout the team, that and we are at " home" we should get a result.

with full squad i would expect a draw but with PSG's injuries (3 of their most important players) i cant see us not winning the match, chances would be even higher with Garcia as GK

Barca may well begin the game without 2 of their starting front 3 also if Ferran plays and also Yamal is just back.

Then potentially the AM, LB and GK positions not certain starters either.

Can see by comments and why.. certain folk dont want certain players to play well against them so all excuses under sun coming out.

Hansi Flick's press-conference ahead of the UCL match against PSG:

“PSG are a world-class team with a coach of the same level. I love them, it will be a challenge for us, and we’re looking forward to playing tomorrow.”

“Absences for tomorrow's match? I think what’s happening is part of our job. It’s certainly not ideal for the players, and every coach wants to have all their players. But this is the situation. The fans were also looking forward to seeing the match with some big players absent, but every team has high quality, and tomorrow will be a great game.”

“We always have to work on our match plan and the way we play. It’s all about positioning and controlling the ball. Tomorrow won’t be easy because they also like to press and win the ball. We have to play from start to finish at our best level. This is the Champions League, and this is what we expect from our players.”

Hansi Flick, on constant rotations in centre-back position: “It’s not that we haven’t found the formula, but rather how to approach the match against the opponent. Every team is different and we select based on that.”

Hansi Flick on the No. 9: “During the 90 minutes, we’ll need Lewandowski and Ferran. We’ll see who starts.”

Two seasons ago, in the Barça vs PSG match, Luis Enrique talked about pressing Araujo to win the ball. Do you take that into account?” Hansi Flick: “No. That happened in the past, and the situation is different now. I have confidence in Araujo’s strength; he’s an incredible and strong player, ready to give his best, which he has shown in previous matches, and I’m happy he’s in my team.”

“The match in Newcastle was very important for Rashford in terms of confidence. It’s not easy to come here from the Premier League. He’s doing well.”

“The QF exit against PSG two seasons ago? I’m not thinking about the past. My focus is on the present. This is a different team, whether PSG or Barcelona, and everything has changed.”

“Pedri? He has developed a lot, and that’s what I want from him. Everyone sees how amazing he plays on the pitch, but for the team, it’s important to have LEADERS on the field. In his position, he can be a LEADER. He’s also part of the team’s leaders. I talk to him all the time, and when he has an opinion about something, he expresses it; he doesn’t just always agree with me and say, ‘Yes, you’re right, mister.’ That’s a good thing.”

Nah, roughly the same.

Tek > Mats

Carcelo is an even bigger defensive liability than Martin.

Yamal is better now than he was then.

I think Pedri was coming back from an injury.

Good try, though.

But we should have done better in that game; that I'll give you.

Plus, that PSG team was stronger than the one we will be facing Wednesday due to injuries.

Nice try, though. Get over the Xavi vs. Flick nonsense, trying to create a little narrative already, lol..
