United-Valencia game was so poor.. if Guedes could actually keep his head and make the right decision just a few times, Valencia would of won that 3 or 4-0

I don't think Mourinho is totally to blame for United, some of their players just aren't at the level required for a top club. Lukaku was basically standing still, even Pogba had to tell him where to stand. i miss the days when strikers had some intelligence

No, i dont blame him for that, but we should try to be more direct, tiki-taka is kinda outdated, has been for years at the highest level.
Then again, with Bale out, who exactly can play more direct football in this RM-side?

Tiki taka merchants attack in 4 3 2

Play direct with who? We have no players to do this, teams don't open up easily and we're not good enough at drawing them out of deep block, making room and even worse at taking advantage of it. It's Perez decision to wait it out and give Asensio a season or two in the spotlight instead of bringing in big money Hazard who wouldn't even fix all our issues in scoring. Asensio himself was moaning about Ballon D'Or and thinking of his future while in Russia with Spain so if he wants to be it then he needs to show it.

I mean we had Reguilon at LB. Odriozola debuting at RB in the CL? And both being asked to be Marcelo and Carvajal in the only two zones of the pitch where CSKA left space? With Lucas off form? We played excellent vs Roma who didn't even lift a finger. We failed to keep the scoring chances coming since, mostly due to Asensio and Benzema being letdowns in recent weeks. Nobody else really failed as much as they did. All it really is is the squad juvenile attitude to structured approach and letting themselves get frustrated when chances aren't flowing off the foot. It's literally just work and tactical understanding to create them and while it's partly Julen's job to make sure it happens, it won't happen if players don't believe it. And they don't want to drop old ways of just "doing something cool with Marcelo and hopefully it'll go in because in the end it always does".
