No you said they kept giving it away which they didnt.

As said Veratti is amongst if not best in world at that and with him they struggled in first game in much the same way.

That defenders comment makes no sense as no one claiming defenders were giving away ball all the time.

The best coaches in the world want their teams to press from front and constantly move for the team.

PSG lack that and need to hope for individual moments from front three too much.

It is like Lucho used to do with Barca when ahead and leave front three up the pitch more or less. Game became chaotic and gave up control for hope of individuals winning it.

Barca had Rakitic, Iniesta and Busquets. As much as MSN was the best ever, that midfield was world class and even had legendary players in there. Not to mention Barca were a team drilled to keep possession and not lose it easily. Even though they were a level below from 2011 on midfield.

Simeone has Atletico parking the bus against Milan at home with that line-up and bench. Reverting to his cowardly mentality as usual. Good chance they go out of CL. FFS I can only hope they win LL this season again or it is free for grabs for RM.

That's why he wanted Ronaldo? He doesn't press for shit at United.

Ronaldo moves more than Messi and Ronaldo as an option in box when teams sit in maybe he would give up a bit for that.

CF is the one area can probably get away with it a bit more as teams will rarely ever leave 1v1 at back.

Dont think Ronaldo would have played every game for them but when teams sat in.

Icardi doesnt move much or press but PSG looked better when he played as had a focal point and not three players walking about in space away from the area.

Ronaldo moves more as he doesn't do shit otherwise. He's no playmaker.

So he doesn't press. And now CF can get away with it.

So it's not all players pressing?

Good luck benching Ronaldo.

Yes not pressing at CF is not quite as bad in giving up team structure although leaves gaps also.

Was argued for years at Barca it is position has least impact when cant press but still not ideal.

Pep must believe that Ronaldo can make up for where doesnt press and didnt want Messi. I believe for that reason and would imbalance team where have enough good players already that run.

Barcelona have always been better with a number nine. Eto and Suarez are good examples. When we had the whole Messi false 9 thing we became too Messi dependent and predictable.
