Same with celtic game. Sending me to sleep
Was surprised mate. Sturm graz are a respectable European team yet bodo hammering themBodø/Glimt dominating. 4-0. Will be in the CL this year and it’s my local team. Hopefully we draw them in the CL so I can watch Barca play on artificial grass in the freezing cold here. Would be a crazy watch.
Yeah, B/G have one of the strongest home advantages I have seen in football. Mix of that artificial grass and very harsh weather conditions. They have beaten many top teams there in the last couple of years. Mou’s Roma 6-1 one of the most memorable ones. They deserve to finally get some CL football again. Will be the first Norwegian team to be in the group stage since 2007.Was surprised mate. Sturm graz are a respectable European team yet bodo hammering them
True will be good to watch them there. I am pleased for you and them.Yeah, B/G have one of the strongest home advantages I have seen in football. It doesn't make as much difference now that every team gets two teams from each pot anyway, including their own - as compared to the previous system - but yes, I see your point.Projected CL league phase draw pots are clear after the 1st legs
Despite the coefficient system being not bad in determining relative strength of teams, it still messes up several pots.
For instance, Arsenal should def. be in pot1 among the 9 strongest teams, and BvB has no business there.
Bilbao and Newcastle have no business in pot 4, they should be at least in pot 2, while Napoli and Spurs should be higher than pot 3.
Hope this will be fixed in the future with more sophisticated calculation of a team's strength
7000 miles Celtic need to travel next week. Almost to China..wow
That makes sense as Portugal is the furthest west European country and I believe Kazakhstan is as far East as any of these technically Asian but play in uefa nations are. There's actually a Guinness world record for farthest distance travelled in UCL.
Farthest distance travelled between competitors in the football (soccer) UEFA Champions League
The farthest distance travelled between two clubs in the UEFA Champions League is 3,830.39 miles (6164.42miles) for the matches between Benfica (Portugal) and Astana (Kazakhstan) during the 2015 group stages, hosted in Lisbon, Portugal on 15 September 2015 and Astana, Kazakhstan on 25 November 2015.www.guinnessworldrecords.com
