Even if Dembele is not fit for the final, Lucho won't change tactics

He will play the same with Doue at false 9 and Kvara-Barcola on the wings

That still weakens them a lot as Dembele has perfected that position and Doue looks like he can get over elaborate in areas as congested as middle of park.. and it takes him off the wing and also one less pacey player to come off bench.

Dont think you can expect FDJ or whoever is at DM to monitor Dembele and wait for him to drop as he will move about effectively taking two CBs and the DM to cover him.

Would mean giivng up a man in middle of park v their three too often.

Vitinha is a great little player but his one flaw is holding onto the ball too long. Noticed it a lot a couple weeks back and then he’d end up making a reckless pass to try and prevent getting his pocket picked.

He has improved massively in the last 18 months though.

I like him as a player but today... seemed like one of those performances folk get over enamoured by as he followed ball and moved it quickly to first man saw open without it achieving all that much.

He did not make one long pass/through ball or create a chance all game and was their most dispossesed player.

Nah, dembele dropping in center means frenkie would directly be responsible for his movements, as they know each other well, it would be natural from flick that gives instruction to frenkie whenever snake drops deep to glue on him. I have no such worries if other would do their job accordingly, frenkie would pocket him. Im more worried about doue doing the same

Same as Messi used to do to teams and tie up multiple players as was moving in and out of their areas.

If frenkie stays close to him when qsg are in posession he has trouble of exploiting space, which means vitinha and ruiz going up to overcrowd, which means one bad pass from dembouz leads to danger lf pedri recieving the ball with raph, olmo, lamine waiting. Neves and vitinha would be teared apart. Doue on the other hand is more precise and harder to contain in that little space that someone from their attackers would have while dropping to center

PSG whole plan would be the 9 dropping deep with a ball over the top to the space created, if followed to Barcola/Doue.

Kvara is there to create ball to feet when the defence is back or countering against numbers.

The first option certainly works without Dembele, but they have spent the whole season working the system with him there. No way Doue or Barcola are as effective in same role. But they can get success as they are top players.

There's only one other guy who could do it infact. His name is Ferran Torres. Somebody give LE a call.
