Our high line with slow ass Inigo and Cubarsi would get exposed so badly vs this QSG, yall are crazy to think otherwise. They’re not Inter who’s composed of 40 year olds
That's true. The opposite is also true. If Aston Villa scored 3 goals against PSG, we could have scored even more. I think the game would have been close and with plenty of goals for both sides.
Thing with the high line (and I don't like it much personally, the way we use it) is we can also score several goals against pretty much anyone.
Still, I think PSG would have been slight favorites. We conceded way too may goals. Way too many. And PSG is not the kind of team like Madrid or Inter against which you can easily come back from 2 down.
We'd probably have lost in a much better final for the neutrals. I think PSG showed they are likely the best this season overall. But the difference vs Liverpool, or vs Barcelona is very small if all teams have their best 11 available. Also worth noting that PSG play in a mickey mouse league so they have a big advantage in CL.
Playing in a weak league is a disadvantage if you're not managed by an elite manager. With an elite manager, who can keep the players focused for the big games, it becomes a massive advantage. You basically arrive in these CL matches fresh as a daisy, without injuries, and full of confidence.
