Cesc Fàbregas

He is. There's no denying it. But only for half a year.

Judging by the last two years, the whole teams falls apart in the 2nd part of the season. Where were you when Bayern trashed us 7-0, or when Real beat us on Camp Nou in Copa del Rey, 3-1 (3-0 at some point until Alba scored the consolation goal for us)? Or when Atletico beat us last year in CL again. Our players played worse in the 2nd part of the season because the opposition tends to get stronger as you approach the final stages of each competition. This argument is a lot more credible and logical than the idea that Cesc miraculously stops performing by april or so. But, you know how it is, to each his own.

Mourinho sure knows how to use Cesc properly, hes been on fire in England.

That's what great managers do with great players. They make them play at their best. Say what you will about Mourinho the man is an expert at his job. Great tactician and great "handler" of characters.

People on here think he isn't barca quality. That we did well to get rid of him. They wanted the cripple thiago to take over, and then went onto say that rakitic was better. I like rakitic but that's not right.

Notice how FCBarca has kept quiet recently.

Yea, I know what you mean. Massive error anyway, in a market where playmakers don't come cheap, you sell one of the best to one of your main rivals in Europe. And you don't even get more than 40m for him. It doesn't even matter who we buy next season if we are allowed to make transfers, there's 1-2 players better than Cesc. Real Madrid has both.

Omg not this argument again. Cesc is playing in PL, play style that completely suits him. 3 seasons he failed to influence the team in any way. He played in multiple positions (he got his chance at CM too), he failed to impress in all of them. He looked out of sorts in many matches. Not saying Rakitic is the perfect replacement (too esrly to judge anyway) but selling cesc was the right decision.

It has nothing to do with the difference in League playing styles or whatever. Put him in that Madrid team and he'll get 30+ assists in the League alone.

He had good statistics in barca too, that does not mean he had a good tenure at barca. He played bad for 3 seasons is that not good enough reason to sell him?

Agreed, it will probably never happen but it would be intresting to see what Mourinho working with Messi could be like.

The problem is that Xavi and Iniesta are such a unique players that no one will ever fit Barca's midfield perfectly, whoever takes over from them always will be compared with the duo.

He was like that for arsenal as well. The pl suits him better. Most here knew he'd shine there right away... I don't get why some seem surprised.

And Cesc asked to go, no one got rid of him.
