Casemiro

It's good to know that no matter how bad Barca might be doing at times, United is always gonna do it worse.

They are in rebuild pretty much since Sir Alex, and all they achieved so far is an overpriced (soon to be) finished big name player once in a while, surrounded by countless hilariously overpriced bums.

This has disaster transfer written all over it.

Fenkie would have had a far bigger impact for them. Casemiro is noone that elevates the play, which they badly need. For Madrid he was more of a brilliant piece than a brilliant player.

Presser he gave gives more doubts than clears things up and madridistas jumping up and down about it all making sense now
Claimed he had doubts and felt his cycle coming to an end after CL final only to perhaps scan the market a little with the agent only to find out nobody wants to meet the demand until United dropped their pants once De Jong refused them.

Poor Casemiro. Man either thinks himself better than is or is naive to think him contributing a little to the United project will justify his decision. Even claimed his wife basically said "whatever makes you happy"

I sincerely hope he hasn't torpedoed the next 2-3 years of his footballing career by making this choice instead of waiting it out

Wait what out? It's not like there were other suckers around and he will play at the WC anyway, probably his last.

If he wasn't wanted by a more decent team this window for wage demands or otherwise he should have stayed another year IMO
There's really no reason other than gambling on future success at an unstable project to commit yourself to United at the moment and tell your kids you're moving in the space of days or weeks (or at least I hope he didnt do that and he told them change is coming before or over holidays). Just do not think any of this is rational

He might have a decline this season and if he stays, he would miss out on his last big pay day next season. Also perhaps he wanted more recognition and he will certainly get that at United, he's their best player by far and fans are already clamoring for him to be made captain before a ball has even been kicked

This is such a hilariously bad signing for United and bad career move for Casemiro.

Casemiro invented football for current United midfield.. I mean they have McTominey and Fred.. For them Casemiro is Essien,Makelele,Kante,Busquets in one..

The contract is going to cost United about ?160m.

It'll prove to be another stupid decision.

He just needs time to adapt to being at such a big club. Luke Shaw also said he struggled with this at first when joining United from Southampton years back.
