Cardoso Varela (loaned to Dinamo)

Natural physical "data" is very good, basic skills are also in order, he raises his head when dribbling the ball - it's good, plus you can’t say that his left leg is weak.

His future depends on his hard work.

Comparisons with Roque are absurd. As soon as I saw Roque in action, I immediately said he was crap. Depay 2.0 at best. Slow, clumsy, weak dribbling, terrible first touch. Roque has only three good qualities in his game - shooting, the ability to push with his ass, work without the ball in pressing. That's it.

The story about this kid is shady as fuck. Some dirtbag agents found his impoverished parents, paid 500 euros for the legal guardianship over the kid, kidnapped him from Porto where he was apparently thriving, parked him in some 4th division club in Croatia where he couldn't even play official matches. Wouldn't be surprised if they now stand to get an unsually large chunk of his transfer sum. This guy Bara is directly behind it or just very friendly with the guys who are.

Dinamo Zagreb is undergoing major re-comstruction after missing out on domestic title for the first time in a century or whatever.

Zvonimir Boban (ex Milan player and legend) is a CEO of sorts now and already released some heavyweights on a free transfer (Petkovic, Pjaca), sold key player Baturina and few other important men are gone too (Sucic > Inter).

Boban is looking to re-juvenate the team and focus more on domestic players.
Varela won't have it easy to play for the first team but it does look easier on paper now that many players are gone.

Will certainly keep an eye on the kid.

On another topic, I wouldn't mind if Mika Faye returns to Croatia and finds back his mojo. Bara and Barca both need to save him from that French disaster.

I really hope we're not involved with the move to Croatia if Andy Bara is associated with that.
Because if this becomes a big story in the future and we're found to a part of it we're probably getting transfer banned for like five years.

Perfect partners for Laporta.

Porto didn't care that a 13 years old boy moved from Angola to live with an agent as a guardian in order to join their academy.

At least when Barca brought kids they had a parent (Messi) or grandparent (Lee) with them.

They are as bad as anybody in this story. They only cared when they lost investment opportunity.

Barca doesn't have moral high ground either, but legally they are essentially paying Dinamo to be the liable club. We could have signed him for free in January, this is likely agreed in order to avoid problems.

Right but everyone knows Porto is a mafia.

We should have stayed away from this deal.

Dragging the club image right down again for a player who looks very talented admittedly, but may lack the head to make it anyways given all that's in his story.

I have given up caring about our image, since nothing we do will change it in the eyes of other fanbases anyway.

This season we have played the most attacking, entertaining football in Europe, fighting against monumental corruption on a domestic level, and all without spending any money and relying predominantly on kids from the academy. There is literally not a single reason to hate us.

Any yet other fanbases hate us more than ever with fairytales like Negreira and that we aren't paying our players etc.

Fuck it. Just do whatever is best for the club.

Apparently AVB and Porto believe they still own the rights to him.

It's becoming more of they don't care about the human trafficking aspect of it but they are mad that someone who could potentially be worth money was "stolen" from them.

Not surprised we are talking about Porto here. Doubt Porto can prove we somehow orchestrated some conspiracy that we planned this all along.

Yeah, it is amazing they claim he is kidnapped by his guardian, parents, and agents.

But they are the good guys who care about his future.

Barca played it right tbh
