Camp Nou

This played by future board is nonsense, the stadium generates far more than the credit to Goldman payments amount to. It's a constant revenue stream overall, not a cost ffs.

I do agree though that the Camp Nou isn't open mostly because there is heavy stuff happening on the outside, and material needed for that all over the place.

Not long until that heavy part that mostly involves the parking and finishing the metal structure I assume is all done.

It isnt nonsense.

Why are they not paying it from when it opens fully?

The point is you want to maximise the stadium and not keep pushing debts down the road and increasing it.

Laporta just happens to have made it so he cant be in when likes of this 400m+ starts to be paid back and pushes it far down the line.

It is, the Camp Nou is gonna generate added revenue, not added cost. It is something future boards are going to benefit from.

It is about maximising what can do with the income generated.

Laporta will have that income and much less of the repayments and it will be pushed onto future boards.

It absolutely is an added cost if there is 400m+ to be payed from 2033 that was due to be paid in 2028.

And that future board is gonna inherit a much better side as a result AND a brand new stadium. Laporta doesn't pocket the money . The team has to get back to normal spending on the market, it makes sense to push the payments a bit.

Also you are potentially looking at some VIP money no longer going towards stadium costs that was said to be the plan.

If you think that has no impact n future boards than have at it.

The point is future board will be paying more for stadium than should be and it put them in weaker position than should be.

The argument about there being no stadium without it is irrelevant.

I would guess to a man there is agreement the stadium needed to be built. That is not a point of discussion and they are correct to do it.

The separate argument is then how it is paid for and who pays it off.
