FC Barcelona will be appearing in a friendly match at the Allianz Arena in Munich against Bayern next Wednesday July 24 as part of the 2013/14 preseason schedule. The two clubs have been discussing this possibility for several months, and finally came to a definitive agreement today Wednesday as part of the ECA general assembly being held in Doha (Qatar). The game will be a friendly and all of the proceeds will go to charity.

The teams will be competing for the Uli Hoeness Cup, as a testimonial for the former player of the same name who is now president of the Bavarian club and will be celebrating his 60th birthday on the day of the match.

Change of bench for Guardiola

This will be a reencounter of two clubs that met in the preseason two years ago. That was in the 2011 Audi Cup, where Barça won 2-0 thanks to a brace from Thiago. Josep Guardiola, of course, was manager of Barça at the time, but in next July’s fixture he will be the new manager of the Bundesliga side.

Hi, its me..
Should be good, pre season or not. Will be interesting to see how Pep plays against us and if other teams take notice.

Hoping to see a Bayern-Barca CL final in 2014. Tbh, I can definitely see that happening this season AND next season.
