Kane would never be a cheaper transfer and Lewa hasnt been either.

Players at that stage of their careers largely want paid.

Barca were just fine wihout Lewa last season.

Won every game and scored more than average.

And you think Haaland for example would settle for lesser pay than a Kane? I think not.

Wether Barca will be fine without Lewa we will see. Lewa scored 2 goals vs Madrid away, brought us back vs Atletico away with a golazo, 2 goals vs Dortmund. That's 5 goals in 3 of the most defining games of the season. Away wins in the league vs strongest opponents and the game that got us in the CL semis.

Can Torres do that? Not sure.

No he wouldnt but he would be at the club longer and could be sold on or renewed in future.

There is a very good reason he could demand more.

Kane would still demand a fortune for a player in mid 30s and still be a big fee.

My guess is they would want a good bit more than Barca paid for Lewa.

From 50-60m to 120-150m that's a lot of difference in transfer fee to go from Kane to Haaland. Haaland might not even be available.

Indeed he did and good goals but also his first goals in league v Real in 3 seasons is it not?

Ferran scored a great goal to equalise in final. Scored away to Atleti to help come back and win league game and to win away in Cup. Also got 3 assists at home to Real to clinch league. Scored in CL semis.

They both had moments in big games.

I doubt they sell Kane for 50-60m.

Haaland clearly be harder to get but big fee for Kane in mid 30s on large wages dont think would be worth it.

Ferran was great, but imo, Lewandowski scores more individual goals due to high quality no9 work.

Lewa is the better finisher but he largely last season was not missed when out.

Nor was he missed in Xavis league title win when out.

Doesnt mean he is useless or no impact it just means is the huge money on him worth it or not. For me so far no. Too much and wouldnt want to repeat it with Kane if expensive.

Not only better finisher. Better at dominating the box. Since you much prefer Haaland over Alvarez, the profile difference from Haaland to Alvarez is similar to Lewa from Ferran. Not the same set of skills, and it's not only about finishing, but no9 instincts also. Smelling the goal, winning physical duels, playing with back on goal...

I am not saying I prefer Ferran to Lewa...Just Lewa for me is not missed enough to warrant his high salary/cost.

Dont agree on the idea 'dominates' the box all that much though.

Why not just renew Lewa then?

If he is the best and stll scoring and cheaper than Kane? Why not pay him some more huge wages.

It is an option to renew him for 1 season depending on how he does this season, but he might fancy a move regardless.

It is a risk also, at his age, he can drop off hugely from one season to another.
