Remember that night when Temptation was irate because Barca were hammering someone in the CL, yet Lewa was subbed off before he got his hat-trick?

Would it have made any difference whatsoever to the result or Barca's season if Lewa had stayed on and scored again? Would it fuck, it would have been absolutely meaningless.

But he was raging. It's the type of mentality I do not understand. Racking up pointless goals for the sake of it.

Would have won us the Champions League mate.

That hat trick, would have given Lewandowski the psychological edge, to bury that easy header against Inter.

Indeed. Lol.

That's actually my point.

That header against Inter would have been more substantial than about a total of 7 or 8 of his pointless goals (at least) last season.

Yet idiots would rate him less because he scored 7 fewer goals in the season.

I think many players have this issue, Messi and Ronaldo played in their prime every match except maybe first round Copa. With more rest they would have been even better in big cl games, especially in 11/12 season.

When CR7 was resting before the match of a cl knockout match between 14-18 he became unstoppable

Guirassy would be a great stopgap solution imo. He is both technical and strong. Will be 30 next March though, but we can get 2-3 years out of him on a high level

yep, tbh i was surprised when i checked his age, thought he is 2-3 years younger but saw him against Union Berlin and it's clear that he is a beast, he is carrying this weak Dortmund team

All this was said when they signed Lewa for 50m and gave him 100m odd in his mid 30s.

The problem comes when have to replace him.. someone younger could be renewed to reduce FFP.

Short sighted signing that have wasted money on. Was always going to score goals but not been a difference in Europe that was brought to be and barely missed him domestically.

Must be close to 300m that have been lost on Lewa and tv money beinglevers paid away these 3 or 4 seasons.

Should monitor the situation of Ekitiké now that Liverpool bought that Eritrean. Playing both presents tactical challenges and disturb the balance of their team. Its Ekitiké who will have to sacrifice his central role and inevitably end up dissatisfied and unhappy.

Ekitiké to Barca 2027. Not that unrealistic. He just does an Isak on Liverpool. :juggle:

A number 9 to keep an eye out - Joaquin Panichelli, 190 cm Argentine striker (about to be 23 years old this October), at Strasbourg in Ligue 1

3G in 4 Games but 2G are Pens (scored a 90+ minute Game winning penalty the last game). Has played in Mirandes so he has experience playing in Spain and his overall game is good.

Good touch and linkup play, good header of the ball and good speed and agility for his height. Need to be a little bit clinical but he'll get a lot of experience at Strasbourg. Probably need to see 2 solid seasons from him to see how he develops.

Good Analysis of him - https://www.lapausa.digital/p/joaquin-panichelli-puts-unlikely

His 21 Goals in Mirandes in the 24/25 season
