Ferran would never agree to that. This is also clearly his best period in his career, not sure why that would warrant a switch to Marseille.

As for a CB one player I would look at is Diego Copolla. Brighton paid 11m for him last summer but hasn't play much and could be available on loan, potentially with BO.

Just turned 22 a week ago, 193 cm, looked good for Italy at U21 level.

He is a Barca fan, but it seems a very difficult deal as his club isn't willing to sell. His contract is up in 2027 so maybe in summer we will have a chance.

He was good in Italy, but worse passer than Araujo. Old school no nonsense defender that is a bit of a dinosaur in today's game.

I would still take him over Cancelo, though

We need an established CB, a leader of the defence like Schlotterbeck or Bastoni.

Cubarsi is your young project CB. It makes no sense to buy another one.

Who's going to lead who?

Senesi is decent, but we are simply not a serious club if he's the only CB we sign.

I know all the talk about the finances, but Laporta simply need to find a way to get something done.

We're not competing for anything in Europe unless we significantly improve our defenders, and even then we lack in some areas like a #9. We'll make it tougher for ourselves in La Liga too because having Joan Garcia pull off superman saves every game is not sustainable.

Lewa out of contract, Christensen out of contract, Rahford probably back at United...

That is 30mil just on this 2.

For sure we can get Senesi, I belive even Schloterback.

Bigger problem is offense. ST's are expensive and we need better player then Rashford.

There is a lot of good CB's for 0 money, but offensive players are nightmare to get.

All the serious CB options ( Bastoni, Schlotterbeck, Senesi ) are for the summer.

Perhaps a cheap CB in winter but i don't expect something.

With Joao Cancelo here, Kounde and Eric can play at CB. And Cancelo can replace Kounde or Baldé on the LB or RB.

With Araujo back hoping to have a CB for the winter is practically over.
