Still needing to sell someone is all kinds of pain.

If it's one thing tebas never lied about all these summers, is that we won't return to 1:1 until we sell an important player.

Even if we sell Martin it won't be enough, he wants a bigger fish.

selling casado based of his excellent run should be enough, but we are Barca, we'll end up selling him for 15m euros, others would get 40m.

After pretending to be in 1:1, being after big signing we ended up being ridiculed in Nico saga and barely registering Garcia (only because key defensive man Inigo was let go for free).

Having concluded that, may the 2026 rumours begin! 🍾

Laporta lies will be soon forgotten and lost in neverending clamour of cheap Catalan media rumours.

But hopefully the worst is indeed behind us and once Barca finally gets back to Camp Nou (which was/is another tissue of Laporta lies) things will start to look up for Barca in transfer markets.

And since Deco now hired his friend from Portugal for head of scouting, who's there to stop us. :deco:

Probably they needed to lie, because situation was almost going bankropt.

We got lucky with La Masia players, new stadium is here almost, this or next season....

We got rid 90% of shit players and we have great young squad. Romeu, Fort, Ter Stegen and Fati needs to be fixed in next years.

Next year, get rid of Lewa and sign Isak.

We have best starting 11 in the world without doubt.

Squad situation is not bleak (in fact it's very good) as Barca finances are. Much of these players fell in Laporta's lap tbf. and it's A LOT due to Flick doing a great job. And yes, Laporta gets a credit for pulling a trigger on Xavi/Flick change.

Already said board probably had to pull some wool over everyone's eyes to bridge the dire situation but there's also a limit and I believe they gotten a bit too comfortable with it.

Issue is there is enough evidence Laporta is just not capable enough on the business side and is not conscientious nor diligent type to take Barca to the very top.

What he is though is a fat lying glutton who employs inept people (some friends, family), does just enough to get by and riding on luck and his hunch (pretty good tbf.)

It's a stark contrast to Flick who does his job professionally, meticulously and ethically.

We'll get by anyway. Barca are blessed with talents and is one of the best supported clubs in the world. But it could be done much better and needs to be done much better if we are to be very top.

There would be a totally different perception of Laporta if he did the same exact job as he did in the last few years but without La Masia players falling in his lap.

Tek
Kounde
Martinez
De Jong
Pedri
Raphinha
Olmo
Lewa.

8/11 last season, yep la masia fell in his lap, want to remove pedri and de jong because they were here before him sure, we can do that, that's still 6/11.

I love when facts get in the way of narratives.

That's ignoring the fact that masia as been a fundamental part of the clubs identity from day 1, only regards like rosell and Barto didn't take advantage of it.

Seeing the best talent we had been Messi and yamal, who was Thiago walk out the door, does anyone think that would happen with laporta in charge.

It's Lewa, Kounde and Raphinha, 3 players, that's it. Good signings but they would all look horrible and would be flops if they weren't surrounded with players Laporta inherited.

Wait what? We didn't sign Tek, we didn't sign Martinez and olmo.

They are apart of flicks preferred starting XI lol.

Yes those players he inherited were doing great before laporta came in and added better players, better training, and better coaches around them 😂.

Facts don't care about narratives my friend

Objectively speaking, no sensible Barca fan can deny our transfer since he's taken over is about a 8/10, would probably say 9/10.

We've only had maybe 3 bad signings since he took over, and off the top of my head I can only think of 1, romeu.

Everyone else from auba to olmo were successes and played a role in the clubs journey back to the top.

It's all luck and masia

We would be done if Lieporta would get Flick (as he wanted) in 2022 instead of Xavi.

Xavi convinced Kounde and Raphinha to join. And he was the one who promoted Yamal and Cubarsi and gave a chance to Fermin when he was about to leave.

If we would have Flick then Cubarsi would now play for City while we would have Big Dom starting. And Kim would probably play instead of Lamine with Bumsi's inability to spot a talent.

I was literally thinking the same when writing the post

He promoted, Cubarsi,balde, yamal, fermin
Played the role in the signings like you said.

But hey some think Xavi didn't play a massive part in our current success.

Flick is an excellent coach, but he sucks at identifying talent.

That's a daring statement, considering Flick convinced Laporta to give him this job based on his knowledge about La-Masia players. He prepared a big file about all the academy players, their strengths and weaknesses for his job interview with Laporta.
