It hurts to have a midfielder like Gavi injured.

He could have easily slot in two of those 3 slots. He would have been a better player to field in the last game, instead of Olmo.
At this moment, we are lacking depth in the CM position.

I'm sure many clubs are lining up for an extremely injury prone player who isn't good even those few months per year when he's healthy. Not everybody has Deco as their sporting director...

Olmo was a club obssesion (like Cesc back in the days), he would be signed regardless of who was a SD or coach.

The fitness of the squad is very worrying.

Is there any player thriving right now? Majority of the squad are/have been injured or are fatigued and on the verge of breaking.

In attack only Roony and Rashy have been available all games.
In midfield Casado and Pedri (reportedly fatigued)
Defence looks better but also the part of the squad that has performed worst. Christensen now reportedly tired. Kounde and Cubarsi seem to have been tired all season so far judging by their performances.

Pedri situation is simply down to flick & DLF nur resting the young man, 100% coaching decisions

We were supposed to take advantage of having a rest this summer but looks like we are in a worse state than teams playing in that glorified friendly tournament.

My guess is Flick's trainings are too intensive and players are out of energy for games, lol.
