Yeah, I think the 'group of six' I mentioned can be split into 2 subsets.

The first with PSG, Liverpool and Real Madrid (because of their voodoo) in the top tier of favourites.

Then Barca, Man City (uncertainty surrounding them) and Bayern in the next tier.

But really, all 6 have a strong chance if variables go a certain team's way.

We don't have a world class centre back.
We have no squad depth.
We have a 38 year old centre forward.
We don't have a world class goalkeeper. ( Joan isn't there yet. )
Our main competitors ( QSG, Liverpool, Real, City ) will spend close to a cumulative 1 billion Euro this window, improving their squads.

People need to temper expectations for next season and realise that Flick is doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

A few signings will obviously change things, but as things stand, I hope for the best, but expect nothing.

But again season is long and things happen. Usually the team riding the hot streak wins. Look at Liverpool last season, they started super hot and blew all the good games too early. PSG peaked at the right moment.

Barca lacked the squad depth but otherwise could have challenged PSG I think.

More like balanced football.
Teams like Inter and Atletico would struggle to go all the way to the trophy in this age and era, but almost every team that won it had good defense

No. Top 4 but that is all. Think CL for us in our situation is a step a bit too far. If we come back home we have a better shot.

However, next season if we got out we'd better go out vs a big gun. Another Inter episode will look bad on Flick.
