Antoine Griezmann

Valverde is a pussy. He will probably bench the two marquee signings and say they need time "to adapt"

It is exactly what's gonna happen.
And when they will start "adapting" they will start going on the "Coutinho path".
No player benefits from EV's "adaptation". They all get worse...

It is not the player that could turn this into a bad transfer. It's the clown that is managing us. Griezmann would improve any team, and the great managers always find ways to integrate dynamic, technical, and hard working players like Griezmann.

Griezmann is very versatile. The problem is that Valverde's creativity is almost non existent. He is bound to use him improperly.

Imo, this is a very good transfer. Hard working attacking player with great numbers, just the right age for immediate impact. Unlike Messi and Suarez who are lazy old dudes who can't be arsed to run and defend, Griezmann works his but off on the field. A breath of fresh air.

Griezmann is like Pedro in terms of effort and discipline on the field, but has the game-winning qualities of a superstar on top of that. He offered those qualities at every team he played, be it Sociedad, Atletico or France NT. If he doesn't at Barcelona you know it's the rotten management at fault.

what do you exactly expect from our nr9,or suarez to be precise,in terms of defending?some eto'o type of fullback during inter days?leaving his CF position in order to fall back on our half of what?we are still considered as an attacking team..suarez is usually the only one who regularly chases and presses opponents defence, most of the times without and help of messi and coutinho or dembele up front,so what else is he or his replacement supposed to do?

"The dressing room" not liking the signing would probably be the best part of the whole transfer. Hopefully Suarez is scared as hell of the thought of watching from the bench while Griezmann is fortnite dancing on the pitch

Same for Raki/Busi with the arrival of Frenkie. Days of occupied spots no matter how you play should be over. Sadly with Valverde the more likely scenario is that Griezmann just benches Dembele as LW and Frenkie benches Arthur and Vidal while Suarez, Rakitic and Busquets all keep their safe spots without even thinking about the possibility of competition. But maybe there is hope, who knows.

That's the nightmare scenario. Suarez, Rakitic and Busi starting every big game.

It's not his fault. I actually think he has gotten old and his movement is more sluggish and less intense as a result of that. Griezmann is better in this aspect, quite clearly, and he can score as many goals as Suarez. Plus, he is more technical, better dribbler, better in combinations.

Suarez is only better than Griezmann at fighting off defenders. Everything else Griezmann does better than him.

Griezmann is actually a less great dribbler, but better scoring version of Hazard. Same age even.

If Suarez, Raki and Busi play over Fortnite, Arthur and
Frenk then I'm afraid we will have the worst manager in our history and maybe one of the worst managers in the history of football.

That's why Barto has got to trade the old guard in this Mercato. Remove all bullets from the barrel and the 1 in the chamber! make it impossible for the Valv to shoot himself in the foot.

Give him a pack of wild attacking wolves.
Would like to see him try to hold them back and submit them into playing coy. haha that would be a sight :cookies:

Hah well said. My hope is Raki to United. I think its happening. ManU wants to make a splash and Raki has good reputation and WC finalist.

so if coutinho actually stays and rakitic too, then there literally wont be any changes since Anfield. Except of course the new signings but the real problems are still here. so expect the same shit next season especially with the nose faced cunt at the helm.
