The sign of a great defender is improving against the attacker in the 2nd game.

Yamal was great in both games, but bastoni improved from the first leg against him

I'd definitely put him ahead of Saliba, as I find him a little overrated to be honest. Not saying he isn't good because he is but he can get the round around far more often than it gets made out by Arsenal fans and pundits.

What yesterday has further confirmed to me,is if your are going to commit a foul in the box staying on your feet as a defender significantly reduces the odds of the ref calling a foul.

Also if you wanna pull shirts inside the box, you shouldn't pull it for too long. Just pull or grab it enough to put the opponent off and raise your hands in the air to communicate to the ref that you aren't touching them.

Italian defenders are masters of the dark arts.

Chiellini did these things all the time.

Also being told VAR won't look into your infractions helps too.

Me being bitter? No never. I just bathed in honey, baby.
