Looks like he's staying after all. Unlikely to get any minutes under Sanchez though so still wasted loan. If you get a player then at least give him a fair chance to impress. Unless he really sucks in trainings but don't trust Sanchez's judgement of players enough to believe that. Not watched BA that much lately but from what I've seen and based on the results players who are currently playing are just not doing their job so why not give minutes to some other kids instead.

This is a weird deal

Pay to train scheme?

To be fair he looked decent in the few spots he played to me. Obviously has talent but lacks size and rhythm. I didn't expect him to be retained on the old deal because of the high buyout fee, but thought another Spanish club might make a punt on him. Especially seeing there's been a few decent flips of late of African buys (the latest being the Leganes guy to Bayern).

He previously had offers from biggest clubs in Africa, like Zamalek and Pyramids in Egypt along others in Morocco and Tunisia, those clubs export talents to Europe and Gulf Area (Arab Peninsula) and would pay more than Barca B. I would also bet clubs in Belgium of France (league 2) would take him.

Obviously, Barca B can do the same, but not when you are in 4th division and not playing. He is more likely to end like Gustavo Maia than the leganes kid. Both the player and his club are likely losing money and value in extending the loan.

With Diarra, Dro, Toni and Virgili I don't get how he will get significant minutes there. I would have understood it if we bought him and loaned him elsewhere

The only logical answer is that the club saw something in him and that he will have more prominence under Belletti.

I think that in general, the whole coaching situation last year harmed alot of players. Look at somebody like Mbacke who was very very solid under Marquez and then horrible last season where there was no defensive system.

Club is probably looking at kids willing to come here playing in 4th tier while we loan out the best talents who are above this level.

Also, Sanchez was a fraud, very likely Belletti will rate this kid and give him a fair chance.

I was more confused by why he would come back and why would Dreams FC agreed on that. For us I can get it

I've looked down Dreams departures and seems no one has left for more than a free transfer.

Maybe it is a case of them honouring the players wishes, and also that they prefer the profiling of him returning to Barcelona and hopefully gets a move out of it this time.

Which would also achieve their biggest transfer fee, even if it is 250k.
