Absolutely not. Let's not ruin a good story. He won't accept playing on a low salary. He'll want one more year with a very small reduction of wage. At his age, decline will be strong and abrupt.

If we renew him on a high wage, we can kiss any serious defensive reinforcement goodbye. Renewing Lewa and signing Rashford are the worst moves we can make.

Only way it makes sense is if he somehow agrees to a big pay cut. And I don't see him doing that.
