9 - Robert Lewandowski

Had zero service throughout the game.

Barcelona can't even put in a single good cross anywhere in his path.

It doesn't matter who you put upfront, Haaland is not scoring goals under this system either.

I still think Barca can get their shit together, hopefully sooner rather than later

Likes of Haaland would be infinitely more useful v teams that press high up park like that.

Lewa offers nothing unless can get ball in box.

No top team wants 9s that cant run or hold up ball and only come alive in box.

Haaland would not? Yamal and co would love a player like Haaland. He is constantly constantly getting in behind and can ping balls to him non stop, where at least, if he can't score, he is able to hold the ball up for his teammates.

Haaland would score 40+ goals in a season here.

Lewandowski was still one of the higher ranked Barcelona performers - per Goal.com and yahoo.sport or barcauniversal.com.
He held up ball well and helped in defensive matters. High pressing is a task for his little nephews, who failed to bring their great Uncle wine.

My only reflection is that it would be a challenge for Lewandowski to somewhat spoil his impeccable legacy. On the other hand, Deko, Zlatan, Modric, Ribbery went there there past their prime too, and more or less, did well.
Juve and Roma legend, still a fervent follower of the league, Zbigniew Boniek, said that it is harder to score goals in Serie A than other top leages in Europe.

The way I see this, and from what I hear, this idea comes directly from Zlatan himself. That in itself is very telling how Lewa's current - post his prime - potential capabilities are evaluated by other football legends in comparison to many plebeyan views exuded on this site alone. Only Grandmasters are capable to eveluate Grandmasters performance...what the common plebs spectators see and try to evaluate during a chess match is of little significance.
Trust your nephew, old man.

He has never failed anywhere.

He'll cook Serie A.

Looks to me that the system is tailored specifically for someone like Lewandowski. Maybe Haaland would fit in the suit. Maybe Kane would fit in as well, but at the time they weren't for sale nor this club could have caughed up 150 + million while Lewandowski was available.
Moot point of what Haaland might be capable of.
Grasshoppers Zurich might also wonder what Haaland might do for them.
But if there are no passes nor effective engagement in the opponents PB, Haaland would end up frustrated too.
I don't care what suit you wear in the ball room, if the orchestra sucks, the dancer won't look too well.

Back when RL9 had pace......

The most complete striker you'll ever see. @Rassvet @Fati_Future_BallonDor @Tookien

Prime RL9 would destroy teams and break records for this team.

They would instantly be one of the CL favourites.
