9 - Robert Lewandowski

This signing is the definition of a clutch signing.

For large parts of the last decade and the one before, Barca were the sexiest project in the Football world.

But when Lewy joined, Barca were in turmoil and had massive financial problems. The team wasn't competitive at the highest level. Bayern were flying back then.

Yet Lewy took on the massive challenge and joined Barca when they needed him the most. 2 league titles and 3 years later, Barca are now one of the best teams in the world and a very exciting project although there are still some budget issues.

Don't know how reliable it is but Catalunya Radio recently said that:

At the very least, he should be a Barca cult hero.
I think the lewa hate exists just in this forum. He is a barca legend now.
If he wants to play for us for, lets say 8 million gross, i would be very happy. I am sure milan couldnt afford to pay more. He could go to saudi and earn much more but is this what he wants?

I think he should leave. It's time for Barca to get a young, mobile starting striker.

Lewy would start for a historic legendary club that will be in the UCL next season. Much better option than being a benchwarmer here.

Having followed his career, his ego wouldn't take it well at all. He's not substitute material. He's way better as a starter.

At Milan, he has the perfect conditions for his age. Serie A's pace would suit him and he can start all the time and play in the UCL too.

Don't be surprised if he's Serie A topscorer at 38. That's very in-character for him. 😂

He now has 108 goals for Barça

Eto'o is 5th and he has 130. Kubala is 4th and he has over 190, he is unreachable but Eto'o definitely is

If Lewa scores 22 goals until end of the season, a big possibility, he may end up as 5th top goalscorer in Barca history... joining the club in a disastrous state, financially and otherwise and at age of 33

Respect to Eto'o, but I hope Lewa achieves this. It would be simply incredible

I don't understand you and people like you

You guys constantly complain how shit this squad is and you constantly repeat how you think they are not capable of barcaball. At the same time, you know we have no money to buy reinforcements

So, realistically, what do you expect the club to do? Go with our style of play regardless of whether we can play it or not. Regardless of how low we might go. Basically sink to the absolute bottom until some golden generation rises again and then we become relevant again?

Flick is there to make the most of our squad, that's shit as you have pointed out milion times

Considering all this I say it's better to appreciate the team we have now and what we are making of it. Than to dream of some prime Barca superteam. Or look at how other clubs (PSG) play and constantly compare ourselves to them. If you love them so much, screw Barca and go for PSG

155M was spent on rags when Auba fit us better and younger than rags. Yamal's starving for a striker like Auba, but Xavi gimped Fatporta to waste our levers on another enemigo.

Accountability, responsibility, nongimped fanbase would go long way in getting the rot out of the club.

Imagine if we pull another level and buy another enemigo (Kane). We deserve to lose everything if nothing learned.

I think his career is benefitting from his move at Barcelona. I admit I didn't expect him to score this many goals at this age in a very pedestrian Barca team. I think he is overall superior to Suarez at every stage as a player but absolute peak.

Very professional, very fit, and has a strong mentality. Too bad he's not 30 again.
