It was famous. It did not let the Ottoman Turks take over the Western Europe. Otherwise, there'd be minarets and mosques all the way to Canal La Manche. Earlier, they defeated the order of Teutonic Knights trying to subjugate that part of Europe.

Nah. Croatia never taken fully and were fighting them for longer than Poles. Bled out Suleiman at Siget when he went for Vienna at their strongest in 1566.
Vienna could have been taken by Ottomans a century later but they were a dying empire by then. A good win for Austrian and Polish nontheless.
Vladislav had a major fuckup at Varna. Should have listened to Hunyadi but alas.

He is the Anthony Hopkins' Zorro..still good with the sword, but a little incapable due to age...then Antonio Banderas showed up to carry the torch as 100% Zorro.

It'll depend on his form this season. If he picks up a good form and shows he still can be important, I can imagine the club will be willing to offer him one year extension with a considerably lower salary, since good strikers don't grow on trees and we'll still have to deal with ffp. If he continues with the current form, he'll obviously leave in the summer.
