9 - Robert Lewandowski

He got the Golden Boot twice, two Fifa best player awards, countless Bundesliga best player of the year, and best ever goal record, in the last decade alone. The stats are his engravings on the mmonument which will last for eternity. He'll be remembered as one of the best long after onefootball falls into oblivion.
You clown posted not long ago Lewandowski is underrated. Now you claim he'll be remembered as one of the best (which is true btw)

You claim people from decade later will only look at "stats", not at "football overall" to judge. Now you have already mainstream media not rate him as top 20 players in last 20 years.

Just exactly what are you trying to say?

And stop replying and repping your other accounts. It's pathetic.

So true that meme. So true...

RL9 is the Emperor of the penalty box.

See, what some RL9 haters are unable to grasp is that his presence in the box alone is worth 30 million Euros a year. The way it works is that he absorbs, like a sponge, a great deal of defensive effort on the part of the opposing team. All it takes, is them take their eyes off of him for a second and ... boom...it sits in the net. The FC Barcelona management board knows that too, therefore, they want to extend his contract.
Robert should be that valuable until 38 - 40 but I'd prefer him to try yet one more club or retire on greener pastures at Chicago Fire.🗽😃

The problem of the matter, that his critics cannot comprehend, is that other players with propensity to score are unable to fully capitalize on that yet... How many times have seen them miss a chance that was EXACTLY made available by RL9 positional play? There's a room for improvement.

Yes. You can't expect him to be everywhere at 36. He's not the same all round player he was in his peak. He's more of a poacher now because of his age. Same as CR7. You don't have the legs to be everywhere after a certain age.

Top defenders respect RL9, which is why he creates loads of space for his teammates and occupies the 2 central defenders by himself. His presence is immense.

I so much wish his critics understood that too.
That's ok.
I am quite content with the thought that Hansi Flick and all those who run this club share that view too.

All the rest is only an insignificant noise of barking chihuahuas.

This is the problem though.
Barcelona continually using Lewandowski in this manner has effectively taken him out of the game.

They should be linking up with him up front. Instead they just use him to draw defenders and create space and the highline, but this also isolates him.

It's no surprise his confidence has gone down and he's missing sitters.
Virtually no shots from distance.

Hansi is using Lewandowski as a pawn so that Rafinha, Yamal and several others can take their chances, which is fine but Hansi needs to find a good balance here and he's failing miserably.

Lewy's just been getting the leftover crumbs for the past several games now, being reduced to a lone poacher.

misses an awful lot of absolute sitters and tap ins even for a grandpa poacher
