I guess I saw a different match. Both were equally poor, with Suarez being a bit worse for missing a sitter, and one of rm's goals coming from a turnover from him. Team played badly, Messi as a midfielder screwed msn dynamics more than anything else.

I'll tell you what he did today, tried his best.You cannot fault his commitment over the 90 mins, unlike some of the others.

He didn't come up with the goods, his miss was inexplicable but he slogged his guts out imo, I was personally impressed by his effort, in an otherwise lacklustre team performance.

Well, I didn't see that. He was running around with nothing but bad decisions today. Mostly, I think, from the forward system being tinkered on, and Messi played in the middle. Confused them all. He still is far from the sharp player he can be, and missing that sitter costed a lot. It was early in the game, and as Barça played an ok 1st half, it could had mean putting the game to bed.

Yup, not unlikely. If this match was a videogame I'd love to re-load a savegame just before Suarez's chance and see what could have been had he scored. We shouldn't forget that we were absolutely all over them in the first half, and especially the first 30 minutes.

Someone in the chat said that it could've been the start of a landslide, which at that moment didn't seem entirely far fetched.

If only that volley had gone in, would be a typical Suarez performance, shit for 90 minutes but a moment of brilliance decides the game.
