We may win a game or two without him but on average we look a whole different team

Maybe it has to do with the fact we also don't really have a replacement. Our midfield depth is quite poor with Gavi suffering injuries, Casado being far below the level required, Bernal still not quite there yet, Eric needed in defense

He suffers from same thing when team looks tired or off form.

Pedri not been great this season, but even his average level is better than whatever the others can come up with in general link-up play. What does Fermin know about tempo, passing and such. His skill is slamming the ball fast, and occasionally finding the corners well.

They're just different players altogether. Olmo and Fermin are not CMs.

Of course he is one of Barcas best players and one of best in world in his position as has been the case for years.

The more of top players have in team the more the other players can be covered for when have off days as others can step up.
