I have no worries that Cou would go Ronaldinho or Neymar way. He's a familly guy and will probably start to hang around with Suarez and Messi soon.

my midfield 4 would be busquets coutinho rakitic paulinho. that midfield would dominate any other in the world. suarez messi is enough firepower on top with paulinho getting to all second balls.

Na Dembele plays when fit as does Coutinho , Messi /Suarez/ Busqs are a given as is keeper .

Just one place to fill ....Iniesta~Roberto~Paulhino~Gomes~Rakitic ??

I think Coutinho deserves some praise at least for a strong debut. Usually players buckle under the pressure during debut and have a very quiet game. Coutinho was very lively and involved.

This. He immediately ascertained himself as serious business guy and everyone, eve prior skeptics took a notice of that. And that in mere 20 minutes first time on the pitch in an official match. Someone correctly said, that even Barca old-timers like Messi including took notice of that and felt he is worthy of a pass. Much of that is also due to his great off the ball movement, which i haven't seen from our midfielders for ages. Only Roberto is as lively of the ball. He's such a keeper.

The midfield going forward since iniesta will start to be phased out is easy to pick if we stick to the 4-4-2

Dembele---rakitic---Busi----coutinho

Class midfield that is too.

In a year or two we get someone to replace rakitic

Iniesta & Paulinho will get there fair about of starts as will, with next season being iniesta's last.

Gomes,Denis,delou have to go, to be replaced by Alena, plus 1 more signing, oriol busquets floats between the B team and first team and see how he develops them promote him.

Everything works out wonderfully, just for goodness sake don't sign anymore paco and Gomeses.

One thing is that Brazilians don't last too long at FC Barcelona, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Neymar are 3 examples. Hope the same doesn't happen with Coutinho.

Coutinho is the closest thing to prime Don that we could get on the market. So, in that aspect, yes. Verratti, on the other hand, is a loooong way of Xavi in his footballing abilities and attitude. There is not a player on the market currently that can replace Xavi.

Verratti doesn't have 10% of the footballing brain Xavi did. Coutinho is closer to Iniesta a bit, but also not quite there. I'm sure he'll be great for us though.

Yea, Xavi is probably top 3 midfielders ever to play the game, and Iniesta is an all time great attacking midfielder as well. Busi will be an all time great as well when he retires.
