Gavi's contract was technically out in 2023. Anybody could've signed him for free the past month.

Yeah. Basically you need to make/reduce 200m in the summer. But you can't renew an asset that can potentially make you 50m-150m.

Backwards rules. LaLiga should instead work to maximise the sellable price of the players, and not restrict them so clubs are forced to sell under market value.

La Liga have manipulated their laws. They say that what prevents Bar?a from registering Gavi is a rule that already existed, but the problem is that it did not exist as it is written now. They modified it on purpose to prevent Gavi's registration.
