Anybody have a translation of his long facebook post?
Sport translated it:

"With this statement, I want to announce I have decided to terminate my employment with Barcelona Football Club.

"These three and a half months have given me the opportunity to see the other side of the club. I learned a lot. I'm very grateful and now want to experience other things form another perspective and from elsewhere.

"I want to grow both personally and professionally so that, in the future, hopefully I can return home and give you back everything you have given me during these unforgettable years.

"I remain extremely grateful to employees, directors, president and sports management for trusting me and helping me in this transition, which is not easy. And especially to the fans, as a player I have always felt very close to them, and now, since my retirement, I feel that even more.

"I wished to say goodbye to all with my boots on, but life is not always what you want. I have been and am very lucky to feel so much love, so I can only say THANK YOU and to know that I always carry it in my heart. Visca Barca."

He saw the other side, and now he's gone. Says a lot.

Come to PSG please :p

You can even play on the field instead of TS and DL if you want :p

Joke aside. Good that he's leaving that corrupt board.

He seems to want to work elsewhere now before coming back.

maybe he was just observing the mess so whatever capacity he returns in he will know how to do his job better.

He should be appointed as a special position to coach all the defenders from Juvenile team to the first team when the new board comes.

We should get more club legends to give special training to players approaching the first team, like they do at Ajax. Puyol would be perfect for young defenders.

Puyol resigning yesterday was not linked to Zubizarreta being sacked. Had already informed the club before holidays that he would leave [md]

Even better. Looks like he really didn't like what he saw.

Maybe it was also decided and known within the club before the holidays that Zubizarreta would be sacked. I'm just saying that Puyol's deciding before the announcement of Zubi's contract termination doesn't necessarily mean he didn't know about it or that it didn't influence his decision.
